we could discuss past kak scum games and compare them if youd like. but if kak is gonna be given a pass simply because hes not gonna be here then you probably may as well just elim me because I see no reason to play or try in a game where inactive scummy candidates get free rides
I'm not giving him a pass because he's not here, I'm giving him a pass because I townread him.
😬 what could you possibly be townreading kakarrotto on???
Because I saw similar thoughts to ones I had. I liked where he was sus of ghug being agreeable, and the way he went after darg and asked for other people's opinions on it. It seemed like he was really trying to see if anything was there, not just force a narrative or read the room. And his response to me questioning who he knows felt very natural and non-defensive.

Of Kak, Brain, RHK, Hamilton (the main four wagons atm), I would only vote for RHK (as I am). I don't particularly think Brain or Brian are scum, and I would feel bad voting Kak out in his first game back when he isn't even here, unless I were very sure he were scum.

What about Maniac or Jamie? They're both uncharacteristically quiet.
Jamie gets a pass today for his birthday and I've been sus of the Maniac votes all day. He's not uncharacteristically quiet, this is how he always is.

I guess I'm used to old Maniac, who was, well, a Maniac.

You think he really thinks I'm shutting down conversation??

What about Hamilton is scummy that we haven't seen from town!Hamilton in the past?
I think he is annoyed he isn't getting as much attention he thinks he deserves.
He doesn't seem too happy about the recent attention though, does he?

Can you answer the Hamilton question please?
I don't remember town HB feeling forced. He sometimes did scummy things as town and I called him too scummy to be scum before but here he just look like he's tryng to impersonate his town game. The reaction to Darg claim is forced. The readlist where he concludes there is 1 scum in 8 players, this doesn't look town HB.

Plus, Jamie and Maniac are just idly voting each other. Could be scum buddies.
I like this theory. Three townie points for Chaqa. (I have nothing to add but want to bookmark this so I remember later.)

Okay, seriously this cant possibly have happened. He has a giant wall of nonsense catchup post and a post asking three people to pick their fav greek god. and a anchor vote that never got any additional reasoning

I did read your points on him brain, and they came down to he's not wacky? And he talked about flavor too much? His stream-of-consciousness giant posts remind me of what he sent the god thread last game and I don't see how it's scummy.

But yeah I haven't played with him. If you have meta reasons to scumread him, then say them.

the fact he wasnt fun or wacky was a concern about vecna and foodcoats falsely attributing a characteristic to a player pre display of said behavior. and theyboth acknowledged the fun and wackiness never came to fruition. it was as much a critique of vecna and foodcoats prematurely declaring how kak would play as it was a criticism of lack of wildness. which being wacky fun and totally random has been a preoccupation of both yav and kak in past iterations

asking multiple people is not the same as kak producing substantive content
