By the way, Dargo, you said you changed the flavour last minute ... what was the planned ghug flavour?
I was the handsome one.

Setups where nobody gets eliminated would take a very long time to play.
I've found one-night werewolf to be very fun in person. It might work well as a minigame alternative.
How does it work?
The game starts at night, people take various actions, and then there's a single daykill. Town wins if the daykill is scum.

Ending with a Maniac kill is by far the worst possible thing anyone could've done. I made a point of ensuring that everyone realised it was next to impossible for Maniac to be scum after worcej outted himself to get a miskill, but it seems like that was completely ignored in favour of weak ass alternative scumish things.

Also rdr it was really necessary for you to tie the vote that day, because it meant that ghug had to do something that didn't look great for him no matter his choice.

I hold that Maniac was effectively clear, and ignoring that was about the dumbest mistake town made this game.

I'm out of mafia, it was a fun two games. I hope I never play again but I can't promise to, if there are ever non elimination setups I'm more likely to play. Terrible.

I've played set-ups where dead people can still talk. Perhaps I'll run one some day.

Your logic on Maniac wasn't as slam-dunk as you thought it was. Your logic on me ending felt even weaker. I stand by thinking that Maniac looked townier in the early game than he did there, though obviously my perspective is a little warped.

I am sorry we ended up targeting you Bob, I spent most of the game wanting the alien to win, and there were even brief considerations of throwing to you once we knew, just because things seemed so hopeless.

Very clean game, ghug. Well played.

I think it was actually a decent game from town Maniac there though he got the short end for his poor performance as town in the past games.

I also seemingly have a blindspot for Bob's (and Bona's style the other game) of playing really out there. Got to adjust.

I own a couple of OneNight decks. This might be a setup I could actually run. Put me on a list or smthn...

I'm not telling... I'll save the original flavour for another game that happens to end with the same players.

Speaking of next games, if/when the Council sign off on my setup I'll be aiming for a start date on either Sunday 18th or Monday 19th April, so if someone wants to run a mini-game in the meantime there should be ample time available.

I also don't anticipate really needing a co-GM because lol lockdown, there's literally nothing happening in life. But if someone wants to volunteer to get some experience with it before running their own games in future then I'd be happy to accept and help show some ropes.

Can you talk at night or are night actions basically random?

First of all... curses on you all for changing my final flavor.

Any mistakes that remain are due to hasty editing.
Distant cheers ring out down the hallway. It's hard to make out, but it sounds like 4 people shouting 'MVP' over and over again...
WHAT?????
we actually won??
sorry

ghug actually won????

I would ask that the scoring comittee award ghug points as if he won as 3p for overcoming a really terrible GM who did everything they could to out our team.

So for the record, nothing about my aggression was fake. It's frustrating when people don't remember pronouns, but we all make mistakes. What's absolutely infuriating is the dismissive responses to being corrected and the comments that show a general lack of respect and acceptance for other people. We need to be better.

to be clear I killed you about 11 minutes into the game because youre good and I didnt want my team to have to deal with you. in no way was any comments I made about your defenses of macca anything to actually do with the issue. I had to play it up as if I had no idea you were dead

there was a moment where it was speculated youd subbed out due to the macca discussion and me knowing you were already dead; I said that it was possible you were fed up

Eh, for what it's worth I do think some patience is necessary and bystanders need to not get involved when someone messes up.

We're not a bunch of malicious people trying to be intentionally rude. Hell, it's taken us quite awhile to phase the L word out...

The reason we were able to phase the L word out was aggressive corrections from bystanders.
