There was also an icky possibility of y'all deciding to no-kill on the last day after the scum kill was locked. I've seen games run with the five minute cooldown in the past, but I'm not sure how much it helps.
was the scum going to kill Jamie?
kgray, actually.
oh wow

Right? And apparently I was almost the NK a few other times, including D1. Would have been much better for town...

Naw... I wouldn't say anything close to that. My problem in reading you is that once I started to lock the two of you (vecna and you) together, YOUR inno/towniness drew VECNA in to innocence in my mind. I know that was irrational. But looking back, that is what I think I did.

You actually redeemed yourself well. The ways you happened to tie yourself to all the scum D1 made you look like a likely miskill.

I think Vecna had to kill you. There's no way in hell lfischl or Jamie would have left both of you alive.

But I'm not convinced I wouldn't have voted with him if he didn't.

It was just really bad all around. Like, I actively protected people I thought were scummy because I respected/liked them, I ignored all the things that seemed off to me about Vecna because I've gotten used to him being able to read me when I'm town and was leaning on him defending me, I couldn't get past bona and lfischl's different playstyles enough to stick with my townreads of them, and I literally shut down people questioning Vecna constantly.

And I'd like to say I'll learn from this, but tbh I probably won't.

Fun game to read. GGs to everyone. I also thought lfischl was most likely but I did also have a strong suspicion that there were 2 likely to be on Jamie (Jaime, Jamei, Jeima) D1.

Also, epic end hammer Jamie. I quite enjoyed that

Well played Vecna.

Thank you GMs.

I liked the no nights but as Vecna says probably only for Vanilla games.

Two things I take from this game:

If Vecna runs deep get suspicious and

When scum don't NK kgray.

(Sorry kgray, only joking).

I feel like the no nights are a good way to make a game run quickly. I wish I'd thought to ban hammers beforehand though. I'm curious how the players felt about it.
I like no nights, I like scum with daychat, and think hammers don't matter too much in this setup because the phases are only one day so it doesn't actually speed anything up (except at the end, obviously).
I was worried about a speed hammer while Vecna/Jamie were sleeping. We were working on the rules for that for a while. The best we came up with was to say we were busy and couldn't handle a hammer (this had the benefit of being true).
On this topic, the main problem is actually that when the Mafia is down to one person, town might realise they can speed-hammer without the Mafia inputting a kill.

The simplest solution is just to have no hammers, of course. If you want hammers, as a GM in a no-night game, you should work out how you will deal with this. Luckily it didn't really arise here.

We discussed letting Vecna have conditional preloaded kills. But weren’t going to implement it mid game.

I have a few queries for other players on how they approached this game. They may not wish to answer, but...

@Bozotheclown: Why did you bus Durga so hard? Was it always your intention or did you get stuck on her?

@Brainbomb: Was there a reason you chose to disregard Damo's (very good) advice on how to use your power?

I submitted my question early day 1 when you had 3 votes on you. I never expected to be dead day 1. I didnt think I looked like a PR. I saw the suggestion by damo and although useful the prospect of clearing all 3 of your voters was also useful.
