I don't. When is the next game. Who is GM?

TBD, but it’s looking like it’ll be me again.

Anybody looking to get some co-GM time feel free to inquire.

Some things I am looking at for next game if indeed I run it again:

1. Some way to normalize night hammers. I think the night hammers were pretty popular. Last time was an impromptu offer from the last mafia, this time will be more formalized and available every night.
2. 24 hour Day 1. Possibly shorter deadlines across the board.
3. Best start day. Weekend was a bit low energy, but maybe it’s fine if it’s also 24h instead of 48.

Any opinions on the above welcome.

1. Night hammers have a concern about giving away time zones of PRs/scum. It worked this game at the end because all of us were similar time zones. But I'd be very worried in general. Maybe the hammer can only operate after everyone has posted at least once in thread? Regardless of vote?

2. I like this, but would again want to make sure time zones are considered. Would a Kiwi have time to post and interact with a European? Maybe it doesn't matter if nobody from east Asia/Oceania joins.

3. No opinion what will work best, I could see it being better either way.

That’s a great point. It appears dependent upon the players’ willingness to believe that I would wait an arbitrary period of time before resolving to mask the time zones of the players with night actions. Waiting for night confirmation in the thread is fine, but it’s common for some players not to post at night at all, which negates the benefit of the exercise. Ideally I would like night hammering only to need the approval of players with night actions and not the whole player base. (I sought unanimity last time because it was a midgame change of rules.)

Chaqa reminded me of the 32/16 phase length system, which I think gives enough time for that, while capturing the same benefit of quicker phases. (And may even be quick enough not to need night hammers…) I think I may do that instead. With 32 hours there should be enough time for the three major areas (Oceania/East Asia, Europe, Americas) to chat at some point in the day.

There will be no tie. Tiebreaks will happen by whoever reached the tied number first, from a lower number

If you guys got a thing planned that's cool too, otherwise I expect to fill and start 2 days from now.

I was unironically going to announce this but no-flip (and maybe 10/3 if no-flip, but maybe not). Either flip or no-flip works.

If you’d rather play I will run it, otherwise this works for me (and if you prefer to run it, I will signup if we need me to hit 13 in time). Starting Wednesday should give just enough time before QuickTopic shuts down:

START - 13 players, Wed 11/17
Start Day 2 - 11 players, Sat 11/20
Start Day 3 - 9 players, Tue 11/23
Start Day 4 - 7 players, Fri 11/26 (mafia or town could win by this point)
Start Day 5 - 5 players, Mon 11/29 (accommodations needed for post-QT by this point for precisely one night phase; doable if inelegant via group DM on webdip, since it’s just 2 people and a GM)

That said, this schedule sets an EOD on Thanksgiving which seems inadvisable. You can delay start by a day to avoid any Thanksgiving interference while not increasing the need for post-QT accommodations. I recommend a Thursday start for that reason.

Kouncil is rearranging some scheduling things. Looking at a game soon. I might have a thing, but need a discord scholar to help.
