Kouncil Update and Announcement

The membership of the Kouncil is increasing. In order to better serve our community, we have added (or downgraded) brainbomb, Chaqa, and Vecna to Council membership.

Please join me in pre-thanking them for their willingness to serve and this sometimes thankless job, AND President Eden for continuing.

Further, in the next few days we’ll be asking folk to help form a ‘screeners’ group, to help preview game setups, making use of broader community knowledge and experience.

Seriously these guys?? I had my application in years ago and I bring much needed diversity and just a little eye candy. But I suppose thanks for doing a thankless task. I'll concentrate on getting myself on to the Supreme Webdip Kouncil - It won't be long now mwahwahwahwah

It was a good time. I randed vig, got RB'd out of nowhere, completely misinterpreted doc mechanics and implications and outed myself way before I needed to, but it was fun. There were definitely some general play differences over there that were a bit confusing, but it worked out fine.

No and no, although I did nail the single scum that was active D1 on D1, but failed to get them daykilled.

WebDiplomacy Mafia Council Update:

WebDiplomacy has rolled out an awesome new signature feature on the forum. While we're excited for the administration's continued addition of fun new features for the forum, we anticipate signatures causing a couple of issues with mafia games, such as potential "retroactive" posting by signature updates after being eliminated from the game, and peterbot potentially interacting with commands in the signature text (e.g. ##VOTE commands).
We are temporarily banning the use of signatures in ongoing mafia games. We anticipate either replacing this ban with a less restrictive and more appropriate regulation or, if signatures are found not to cause any issues, repealing the ban and allowing free signature use, and we anticipate doing this in time for M69's launch in the next couple of weeks.

In the M69 thread brain just mentioned the possibility of a mini game ahead of M70. I’ve already explained my coming absence from playing for awhile but…I’d be interested in co-gming for the experience factor. Just putting it out there.

I hereby remove ALL of my objections to games allowing +1s.

Maybe off topic, but I'm playing another forum mafia game (it started before the mini-game sue me) and I'm never complaining about lurkers again, unless they literally have 1 post and 0 votes.

That is a lie, but my point stands. It feels like a good 60% of the game is lurking, and it's a 72 hour day.
