General Info

What exactly is this?

Essentially, it's a public press game with all press contained in this thread as a global chat, except that the spectating peanut gallery can send press, just like the players. No one knows who exactly is in the game - except for yourself if you are actually in the game, and anyone can conduct press on behalf on any country by just dropping in and posting.

6/7 sure I am gonna get Austria, this tends to be the case with my most interesting/difficult games.
Disclaimer: I never said that I did join, or that I am an actual country in the game, or ... just forget what you just heard.

Oh no, I just realised something - I can't make it ambiguous to whether I'm in the game or not since I can't leave the game, forgot it showed the name in the notifications lol

But wait! That isn't quite true, is it? Only a couple would have any idea, and it wouldn't necessarily be in their best interest to let others know whether my negotiations are factual or not ;)

There's also the option of leaving and rejoining as a presumable different person...heh

So now the question is, am I throwing out these possibilities to cover for the fact that I'm doing one of them, or to simply nudge someone else into doing it?

Some people don't use game theory and probability to weight such decisions. Some people just say I was refreshing the page all the time and I still got in there second and the first person is obviously the game's organizer
But of course, this is just the sort of stupid thing some people would say. I don't think such people even play Diplomacy
