Reading the set-up, I got the impression that the power of the Twins is anti-town if used.

If Mafia 1 attempts to kill X and Y dies instead, they can conclude that X is a Twin (a less valuable "vanilla" type of town role). This allows them to look for more powerful town roles in other players, since they know that X is merely a Twin. So twins please don't use the impersonating power. I cannot see any good reason to ever use that power since it does not seem to give any good value to town.

"I opposse massclaims on principle" is not a good argument.

There are obviously some drawbacks, but with so few VTs in play a massclaim should always be a consideration.

Don't think we've played with peter or teac in a while, haven't personally played with gold before iirc, and perstition is noob, so looking forwards to seeing them play.

The great expectations are lumped upon Teac this game, his time should be open for the good ol' textwalls that I miss, due to holiday breaks :D

They can use their power to prove who they are when they claim.

What happens if both twins activate in the same phase?

You are FANTY, the TWIN

During the day you must vote for a suspect.

Each night you may instruct the GMs via private message if you are Impersonating your twin. If so, and you are targeted by a night effect, your twin is hit instead.

You are part of the town and you win when both Mafia factions are eliminated and the Neutral has not yet won.

Read the wording of the third section carefully. It doesn't say 'your twin is targeted instead', to avoid the possibility of both Twins activating and giving no viable target.

If Fanty and Mingo are both active and one night kill targets Mingo, it will hit Fanty.

If Fanty is being targeted by a Respectable Businessman in the same phase, he will see the night killer approaching Mingo.
