Richard was so chivalric that pardoned the boy for killing him and ordered him to be released.

1200 AD Turning of the century. Kings John and Philip II sign a peace treaty at Le Goulet, an island in the middle of the Seine River, near Vernon in Normandy. The agreement recognizes John as an overlord of most of the English owned lands in France, but John has to give Philip the lands of Norman Vexin and Évreux and a large sum of money (some 20,000 marks) – a "relief" payment for recognition of John's sovereignty of Brittany.

Yes, indeed but it was after Richard's death (at least a source of the time claims so). He did disobey the King's wishes.
Well informed, I see.

1209 AD July 22 The Crusader army, led by Simon de Monfort, arrives in the Languedoc area and makes camp at Béziers, to start a siege. The citizens, believing that their city walls are impregnable, harass the Crusaders, by sending a group of soldiers (supported by armed civilians) to launch a sortie against the enemy camp. When they are forced to retreat, the Crusaders storm the walls (who are not properly manned), and enter the gate, sacking and killing some 20,000 Cathars and Catholics alike. As Coligny would put it on the Massacre of St Bartholomew's Night, kill them all and God will take His own!

Battle of Yehuling: Genghis Khan bypasses the Great Wall with little opposition and splits his forces into two armies. The main army (60,000 men) is led by himself, and the other army is taken by his son Ögedei to attack the city of Datong. Genghis heads for the strategic Juyong Pass (Young Badger's Mouth) – which lead down to the capital of Zhongdu (modern-day Beijing), but along the way he is halted at the pass of Yehuling where the bulk of the Jin army awaits him. Between March and October, the battle is fought in three stages, after Genghis has defeated the Jin forces, he begins raiding the countryside before he withdraws for the winter.[4]
