Re: MAFIA XXXVIII: INFINITY WAR

#841 Post by yavuzovic » Wed Aug 08, 2018 10:34 am

There's a great willingness to vote Snowy here from my guts, but my logic says he did nothing scummy. - at least I haven't seen. Anyway I'll give a slight scum mark to snowy because of that weird feeling.
Townreads:
Vecna - I appreciate his effort to find the bad boys. He seem sincere.
bo_sox - I agree with Squigs here, like he sat down and thought how he can create a scumread from that one interaction. But his style came towny, don't really know, maybe I should carry him to my scumlist.
BAD BUNNIES (Scumreads & SK reads:)
Squigs of course - I stated before but nobody followed me, Squigs townslipped, but this was too obvious and I don't think he didn't know SK can't be nightkilled. I didn't see anything scummy about his interactions but this was something only serial killer bunnies would say. I'll quote it once to show you:
"Message - Squigs44
Squigs44
Day-1 55:27
page 14
↑xorxes: "Now SK should claim, since they can't win anyway unless Mafia wants to let them win."

Why would SK claim? He would just get NKd and the scum team gets the power stone. The only thing SK claiming does is help scum."
Sorry for weird qoute, I took this from my post at peterbot page.

damo - I just noticed that, he changed his vote for flash, and he didn't give a real reason ( I mean his reason was insufficient to accuse somebody) if he has the power stone he can easily lynch a wagon that has not the most votes. He's on my radar too.

(By the way, bo is right, I said we always focus on finding the sk but we should find mafia first, but I focus on sk too)

Interesting how the Foxcastle wagon just melted away.

@Damo666
@Snowy
@Yavuzovic

Did Foxcastle persuade you that he is town, or do you just think your current target is even more scummy?

Makes me wonder if you are SK Vecna.
He's been acting like one... Bigger wagons help the SK...
Being able to flip the lynch to whatever he wants is also gonna help the SK. You'll see the chaos it creates tomorrow if he does manage to get the wagon on a lynch that wasnt actually the lynch. The ammount of wifom explosion is gonna distract massive amounts, and like I said, itll mean we cannot actually randomly hit the SK if we do find a scummy motherfucker.

If were hunting for only scum, we can lynch 4 people. If we use small equal wagons, we remove the option of ever lynching the SK.

The wagon doesnt need to be big. It just needs to be at least 3 bigger than the next wagon. If it isnt, the lynch can be flipped. If its 2 larger, the lynch can be tied.
I don't get your math here Vecna. From what I get from the rules, the power stone can add one vote for each stone he possess. At D1 he have only 1 stone, so he make a vote count as 0, 1 or 2. As the vote is already accounted we need 2 vote difference to ensure SK can't change the result. This could change for the other days.
Also, using the time Stone on D1 is the worst thing a towny can do.

I think my Fox vote was a joke vote. I don't remember why I voted for him, and I didn't state anything about why I voted.

Ehm yeah, seems I misread the powerstone slightly. Either way, we need our desired wagon to be two votes higher than the next wagon.

I dont necessarily agree with you about the time stone on day1. Its kinda nice to end the day early if your preferred lynch candidate is leading enough, to actually get a sincere overview of whom is pushing what wagon into contention for the EOD shenanigans. Maybe less information, but a different type of information that might also be very interesting. I wouldnt mind some shenanigans personally.

Jamie, Fox didn't persuade me himself it was others' arguments that persuaded me. Sorry, can't remember who though.

Yav, my vote for Flash is simply because he is voting for brain which is downright strange.

@ezio
Why ChippeRock (repeat question.)

Also... do you recall why you particularly tell Bismarck (on page 21):
"Bismark the most important players in this game are Xorxes and Ghug. If HR continues to Lurk he will remain useless and unimpactful."

And (on page 9) you announce: "Xorxes is gonna solve the game for us by tomorrow, so I'm not too worried about anything. The more complicated the game the better he is, and therefore the more obvious he is." What do you mean by "more obvious?"

I know D1 a bit early fior readlists but for what it's worth here goes:

Bismarck - very quiet Scumlean
Bo - Null
Bozo - Null
Brain - Gamora
Chippie - VT
Darg - Null/Townlean
DT - Null/Scumlean
Ezio - seems scared of Reality stone so very likely town (PR?)
Flash - SK if not Vecna, else scumlean, else what's he doing?
Fox - VT
Ghug - Null
HR - Null (hurry up)
Jamie - Null/Scumlean (as presumably no Vig so slightly increased scumprob)
ND - long impassioned post => townlean though I must admit I didn't quite follow his Jamie rant
RDR - Null/Scumlean (bit quiet)
Snowy - Scumlean (baa!!)
Squiggs - Clearly not SK (unless clever fakery), prob VT
Vecna - well dodgy, suspect SK
Worcej - Doc
Xorxes - Null
Y2K - Scumlean (baa!!)
Yav - Townlean

So, I have 8 possibles baddies for a pool of 5; most likely to least likely

Vecna
Flash
Bismarck
RDR
Snowy
Y2K
DT
Jamie

##vote flash
This isn't a reason to vote. @Squigs, I want an explanation. Why? Only scums do this.
Someone already asked this, and I already have an answer, but I know there is a lot to read. Before this post, I had a couple of other posts calling out Flash for things he did that were scummy. Those posts, combined with a couple posts from others led me to vote for Flash.
For a recap: Flash has been contributing far less than last game. He has been defensive and hedgy. There is also a possible connection of him and Fox being scumbuddies.

It could be interesting if you postpone the lynch, but never to make it earlier, as it will make people less accountable for the result (scum can always say they want to change vote at the expected EOD). And I fail to see which information will be gathered only with an unexpected earlier EOD.

##VOTE Jamiet99UK

Back to this guy. It's becoming more apparent to me that he's not reading to find scum, but reading to corroborate/mesh with town thinking.
