We cross posted, but I agree with your sentiment but found the one statement of boring to be odd.
Ya true. I called that out. I feel like he's just a new player coming off a high of a good game and is feeling super confident in his play as town, and has convinced himself he's right. He had some cool play he thought about in his head and was confident nobody else has thought about it so he didn't want to reveal it to the scumteam. This massclaim makes that cool play no longer viable/possible, so he's feeling sad and dejected.

Yea but, hes still got this scumread on me that a case is gonna be coming on soon. Or it maybe just never will. Who knows. If he is sad and dejected that we massclaimed he could just go write up his case on me and really enjoy the shit out of burying me.
I've decided to shelve it for now. I'm hoping I'm just being antagonized by antagonistic play, which is play I can appreciate in hindsight. But I have a problem with strongly scumreading it.

I don't exactly feel great about this, but most likely Mafia at this point is ghug.

So ##VOTE ghug

So ##VOTE ghug
To elaborate on ghug, I've already stated my weak suspicions of them once or twice. I will not deny that the strength of my town read on worcej is the driving force for this vote. worcej seems convinced, so I'm going to trust them today.

You guys remember that guy who used to play here? He deleted a discord before it was cool. Brent? Brandon?
This is another moment you seems to just want to provoke Brain.
I literally subbed out of a game as mafia recently because the thought of getting down and dirty with Eden was too unpleasant. That's not me.

That's damo.
Ghug is town
Don’t believe this. Damo didn’t vote ghug last game when ghug was scum.
Yeah and I was really proud of fooling damo even when the rest of the world scumread me.

You're just mad cause I didn't say it was you.

So I think we need to flip a high activity player. I know that is usually counter to town play as it kills activity, but with no PRs a hiigh info slip would help.

I don't feel nearly as confident this game as I did last game.

I don't want to vote worcej today since I think he's probably town.

Other than that I don't really have a super strong town read on anyone.

Aaron seems to be full of bad takes but I don't remember if that's normal for him.

I don't even know what to make of brain having the PoE down to 3 people.

Everyone else is playing the game, I guess.
this feels reaaaaaaally similar to things ive seen chaqa say when he is scum. acting like he forgot game started, acting like the game is really weird, not understanding anything, having little to no reads.

Im pretty sure this is his scum meta.
This is actually the same post that pinged me.

Ghug, would you rather vote for Vecna, or Damo?

That sounds like to me you're advocating for a flip of brain, aaro, S&C, worcej, or jamie.

Of those 5 (based on total posts), which has committed more to solving and not meching? Using that as a determinant, which of the two is better to remove?
Why did you omit me?

I’ve thought this over a lot, and I’m fairly certain ghug is scum. I still have scum leans in vecna and worcej. I think damo may be scum but he hasn’t posted which (which I think is NAI for him).

I have no if brain is town or not but I think his posting is a net positive for town so I don’t think I’d vote for him.

I don’t feel strongly about anyone else.
You're not going to bother explaining any of these?

Also Jamie is like, pretty clearly town here. which makes Ezio a little more confusing. I feel like ezio sheeped my case on S&C before I even wrote it, then totally didnt follow through on S&C, and the motive there maybe was to get my vote off of DemonRHK.

And then ezio pocket/buddies ghug about as blatantly as you can. All to get ezio out of the POE.

maybe.

So ezio-DemonRHK-chaqa>?
How is Jamie clearly town?

Im very much in that headspace where its like.

Or maybe its this ezio-RHK-Chaqa
or maybe its this RHK-S&C-ghug
wait it could be that rdrivera-ghug-chaqa
maybe its actually this ezio-vecna-RHK
or maybe its that aaro-chaqa-ezio

Image

Im impressed that no one else ever has these problems.
This is why to not look for the whole team D1.

looking for a team in this setup is very smart for town because once a massclaim occurs town can seperate themself even further from
mafia

Anyone can be townleader in a setup like this. but I usually play better when there is a more stoic player who stands in the firing line, who I can bounce ideas off of. Someone like Eden for example who is invested in peoples opinions and knows how to ask the right questions.

If you put me out in the front line and expect me to hold up for a full 48 hour day 1 as the focused and competant townleader you will ultimately lose momentum because I am not mentally built for that position. I change my mind too often to be followed, and my style is not great for clinging to a truth and forcing others to have to navigate around me. I am not an immovable object, I am actually very malleable and can change on a dime. You cant let someone like me direct town because I cant even direct myself most games.
I nominate worcej as town leader
You know this is a terrible idea.

Tell us more about the stated goal of breaking up pairs.
Mafia cannot be paired together

Ergo each mafia we kill is a clear town
This is why I suggested (in sign up) that a Mass Claim was a good idea for town.

However various people including Ghug have shot a massclaim down.

Thoughts?
As in most Mafia games, a massclaim at the start of the game won't get us much closer to solving the game, but the right people could die to make it much more of a value add later.
