I can never fault someone for going with their gut. But I can fault you for your reasoning. That'd be like me saying you've setup a lurk excuse because you're portraying yourself as a cineophile, and could say 'Oh I was out, sorry'

What do you mean when you say “scum PR that can cause town on town killings”? Spell out this concern.
And when you say “a lot of chances for bad Info to flow around,” what do you mean? Just the chance that Cop reports are impacted by Miller/godfather? Anything else?
Are you saying that you think this setup is Pro-scum? Have you looked through PRs? Do you think they balance out?
Also, was your request that people not lurk sincere? What was your purpose there? Seemed kind of like you were seriously trying to get people not to lurk by enumerating some mafia powers, but then you end with “yeah we all know that’s never going to happen,” which really gives your entire speech the opposite impact. It says: “Look, we know people are going to lurk. It’s okay. It just happens.”
So, I’m left with: why did you make this post at all?

I honestly want people to not lurk. With two millers, and a witch, we could end up with false positives, and losing our own without scum needing to do any killing, and we need information generated by people communicating so we have actual meat to look through. In the past when I played, town's death knell many times was scum taking lurkers around to the end, and you have days with maybe a half dozen posts. I myself was guilty of it when I used to play here, but on top of trying to change that, we just can't fucking afford it.

If my post, and the subsequent heat and discussion it's generated gets one less person to lurk, then it's a success. Yes, I'm trying to get people to be active.
The last line was a dig at the fact that(the last time I played) we'd spent about a year trying to get people to not lurk, unsuccessfully.

Well this rings sincere to me. I’ve felt that frustration, and I’ve sort of swung limply at lurkers before, feeling a bit powerless to change their behavior, but wanting to scold them anyway.
Demon, please don’t lurk this game.

Every game, everyone talks about lurking. 1) Yes, lurking is bad. 2) The game has been going on 6 hours. 3) I wish more people had posted already. 4) But, literally it's been 6 hours let's see how it goes a bit before the whole muh lurking shit pops up again.

Sorry i jetted out earlier, I realized I had to make a 20 minute drive in 10 minutes to meet some friends. Now I'm drunk, but it is what it is.
If given a gun, I will shoot brainbomb, since there's no way he's giving me a gun, and if he isn't really the gunslinger, the real gunslinger can use me to kill the false gunslinger.
This doesn't mean I think he's a wolf as is, I do not really want him lynched, but if he is not really the gunslinger, and the real gunslinger gives me the gun, I'll take it as he/she saying brainbomb needs to be sent to the great bork in the sky.
