I actually think gold has been scummier than Maniac but the Vecna switch from HR to gold puts me off.

The problem is if we mk one of them then what? Do we wagon the other or can they both just be scummy town?

I don't really trust any of my assumptions anymore.

I went and looked through all TFB's references to gold, and was mostly just reminded of how consistently scummy goldfinger has been. But TFB's most recent analysis trying desperately to find any secondary reason to townread goldie makes my VCA look good.

Goldfinger clearly stated that he was busy during the EoD time period D2, and couldn't interact at full speed. TFB argues that scum gold would go for the easy miskill on him instead of voting for me who was clearly a much harder wagon because ???? I had a whopping one less vote on me once gold voted (which to be fair is consistent with TFB's idea of "safe lead").

So naturally scum goldie would take that option instead of another wagon that was entirely feasible at that point, putting the lead up to a near insurmountable two (over Vecna). That said, why wouldn't he take the effort to stick around 15 minutes to "save celaph" (who wasn't a big wagon at the time). Therefore because he was busy and didn't vote for the very slightly larger counterwagon, he must be town!

Or... something? Is TFB usually this bad at VCA or is this a special something? Anyway it's okay because he can just crutch his whole case on the Vecna vote D4 anyway which is "the much stronger point". If anybody needs an explanation on why that's silly, they're either TFB or damo and I may do it at some point anyway. Not sure.

Any "if this person flips town we have to flip the other one next" clauses are silly anyway. We could just flip on the basis of who seems most like scum instead of shoehorning irrelevant probability into the situation incorrectly.

This analysis is bullshit if you include D3. Durga was a runaway and obvious wagon and there is nothing to get from that day and including it on the list just distort the results.

No, I am not being defensive about Maniac or myself. I work with data analysis and I am just pointing that the data from D3 should be discarded.

But they are not at the same level as Maniac when you look at votes during the day as well as at EoD.

Damo for both Durga earlier on D3 before she was a runaway wagon.
Damo voted for Vecna during D3

Goldfinger voted for Celaph during D2 although he didn't end there.
Goldfinger voted for Vecna during D3.

Maniac is the only player alive who never, once, even for a minute, had his vote on any of the three people who have flipped scum.
