@Demon I'm sorry, I'm just not seeing what's so scummy with that post. You think it's fishing for PRs?
That's why I was trying to be cryptic. I'm not inherently scummy, but it's very anti-VT
I guess I don't understand why you would have to be cryptic here. If you think it is scummy why would you be coy about it. We are trying to catch scum. I don't understand.
Tom, I laid it out pretty plain.

You ain't normally this dense, what's up?

The proud lurker policy voting a lurker is a questionable look.
I don't think I am a lurker by any count, just absent with horrible timing.
The impression I'm getting is that you have a pattern of walking like a duck and talking like a duck.
Semantics, schemantics, lurking requires that I'm reading but not posting, not just absent in first place. I usually can't resist chatting if I'm reading the thread, lol

Because Damo is probably scum or PR.

After all that ghug/gold noise, if they're BOTH scum I tip my hat. No idea if they're both town, but I have a hard time believing two scum would have the balls to pull that off.
Why is this?
[/quote]

Not OP but I was thinking along this line. If they're Scum vs Scum, then it's some good theatre with all the back and forth. Each reads like they're going to keep slapping at one another. If it's Town vs Town, then it seems to be avoiding the goal of determining who is scum and successfully eliminating them on Day 1. I don't have a good read on either but this is a dynamic that deserves closer attention OR ...well, if it's not worth the distraction, then why is it happening?

Why do you spend so much time talking about goldfinger0303 and so little time talking about other people?

Also, ghug and I have a complex relationship. We may want to lynch each other now, but at the end of the day we will go back to loving each other.

Has anyone else noticed that RHK has basically been absent this whole time, posts *immediately* after he's been summoned by someone else, goes on a violent tirade to defend himself, and then promptly disappears again? emc has been here for twenty minutes and I've got a better handle on his thoughts of the group than RHK's.

Hmm, you're right in one part, I think you were scum in all of the games we've played together. So I guess the difference is actually a townie point for you

Jamie has been more chill and laid back and less game-schemey so far, the former of which is good and NAI while the latter, not sure, maybe I missed something.

This reaction is skittish. Newbies tend to be skittish, so since I learned of your experience I've been more lenient in my mind towards you. But scum newbies are *especially* skittish...which tends to be why newbies get lynched early.
I am therul and I DO NOT approve this message.

Having done this a couple of times I find those who are new to a group do tend to get picked on early.
It is true no mater if they are town or mafia. It is the fact that the town do not know enough of the new player to be able to figure out how they are playing, and the new player is still trying to figure out the experienced players.

I have tried to lay enough of myself out in front to show who and what I am, so I do not get lynched Day 1.
I actually like this post, it seems towny. It's the same brand of (mildly scummy) overcompensating honesty that new town players tend to have

Hamilton off the cuff seems to be more town than scum, off of meta that he's more timid and agreeable as scum.
I'm under the impression that Hamilton has played an entire one game before this one, so please enlighten me about your strong meta reads.

Ghug's style reminded me a little of ND, I wanted to see what he thought. I liked his answer.
If only you knew the tremendous lack of respect ghug has for ND you would realize how hilarious this is.
I honestly don't think he could have made a more offensive comparison.
This is hilarious. If anything, ghug so far seems as if Durga aggressively hatescrewed ND and then ND gave birth to a gremlin child.

Since you're here right now, I'm curious about your read on Tom. You wrote "Like Tom Bombadil's quickness to put therul on the townshelf." Was that your way of indicating that Tom is more suspicious to you? Do you think therul is more town than not, and if so, why?
