No, I want to vote brainy because the more he screams and shouts, the better off we are when he inevitably dies. Either he has elicited reactions out of people that he targets for no good reason and leaves us little tidbits of valuable information to piece together later when he dies as town, or as scum he has done the exact same thing, only with an emphasis on his scum teammates. He's most useful dead or constantly close to dying. My vote made him the lead vote getter (no idea if he still is or not, don't really care because it doesn't matter) which means he'll probably be an option at the EOD. If I were to actually read the game thread, maybe I would put forward an actual read and be helpful in some capacity, but that's not going to happen until late tonight at the very earliest, or Tuesday if I can't manage to tonight.

Is it just me or does it feel like a lot of people are playing pretty clearly anti-town?

Bo literally posted that he was just posting to meet minimum. I get the work thing, but he signed up literally 4 hours before game start and didn't warn that he wouldn't be involved much D1.

a.) Maniac never does anything to contribute positively and I have no idea why yall think he's good at this game. Is there a case on him other than him being bad at mafia?

b.) Reedeer's most memorable mafia moment was subbing out because he had to go get stitches in his face. Same question as above.

c.) He literally named himself "SuperSteve." What the fuck did you expect him to be like?

d.) HR basically begged me to play when Vecna dropped and Durga didn't want to sub in. There's a reason I didn't sign up. 90% of my time spent on this site lately is doing mod/admin stuff, and I don't spend as much time here as I used to be able to as is.

I'll be working most of today, but the only person so far who's given me a bad gut feeling is Balki. He keeps putting awkward pressure on people (dar and demon), pressuring people with questions that have obvious answers. DemonRHK said some obvious stuff and Balki grilled him on it in a weird way. It looks like he's trying to seem commanding and to push people, without having any real bite behind his pushing. Maybe that is how he plays, or he's trying to keep people talking, but it struck me the wrong way.

It is totally just a gut feeling, but day 1 is made on gut

Hmmmm, I like this post. As I understand it, MeanLaQueefa is new. Never played before. Right?

I don't think I've ever seen new scum come after me with a scumread on Day 1. I don't think I'm a particularly easy target. And this one is unapologetic, with no gloss. "Gut feeling."

If this came from new scum, it would have more bells and whistles and packaging. This feels very genuine.

I'm not going to tell you my exact thoughts about scumhunting. If I say "I always consider X to be strongly scum-indicative" then any n00b scum will be careful to avoid doing or saying X so that I might not scumread them. Why should I give them that extra warning?

(1) I didn't ask you for your exact thoughts on scum hunting. I asked whether scum ever do the "asking their partners to save them in-thread" thing to which you alluded. Answer: they don't.

(2) But really -- you should give me your exact thoughts on scum hunting. If you're town, you'll want to tell me your exact thoughts so that I can understand and sort you. Also, wouldn't you want to convince me you're right so that you can get your targets lynched? As the wise Tom B. once said: "secrets don't make friends," or something like that.

(3) The idea that you shouldn't tell me your scum-paradigm because it will look something like "I always consider X to be strongly scum-indicative" is silly. Scum don't always do anything in the thread. Everything is contextual.
