No. But thank you for telling me about her (I had never heard of her before).

I haven't read anything by her, but I've seen her name in bookstores. I was about to ask if this person is a writer, and realized that Rooney is probably the most famous 200th-decade-born writer, so just went ahead and guessed.

No questions in this post; I'm at my limit.

We're having trouble pinning down her claim to fame. Options are government office (unlikely given she's 23-33 years old); artist (but not singer or actor); or athlete (but not professional).

Professional writer of fiction, or visual artist?

Has an E in her full first name?

I'm going with "No." for this one. I have found a reference in which a major organization has placed her work in one of those two buckets (fiction or visual arts), but I feel that it was simply done out of convenience. I would not classify the work that she is best known for in those buckets.

her work
Perhaps an indication that she is an artist of some kind, just not a singer, actor, fiction writer or visual artist.

I have an inkling of a guess, but don't want to ask a confirming question, as if I do, it will let the cat out of the bag for others to ninja. So I'll just come out with it:

Taylor Tomlinson?

No; I didn't go for two stand-up comedians in a row.

Is she a published author (regardless of whether that's her claim to fame)?

The problem with this is that we already know she's not a professional fiction writer, or at least not typically considered one.

Not Sally Rooney (Hominidae), Taylor Tomlinson (cdngooner); free clue: not another stand-up comedian.

known for writing movies? not sure if this counts as publishing, and by what defintion is being used. if screenwiriting would not be considered published work, then scratch this question.

It's a good thought - there are some young screenwriters out there - but, no, not known for writing movies.

I will clarify one previous answer: I was looking at her IMDB page, which has just a couple of entries on it. It does look like she does have a very small handful of appearances in scripted television/shorts/etc., which I guess could be considered acting, but I think she is just appearing as herself, and in any case this is not the major source of her fame.
