Not known for government, music or acting.
I’m in my phone so can’t update the known information, but I believe that was Question #10.

Re: Twenty Questions - Game 168
I think the QM has set us a fascinating challenge. It is hard for me to come up with anyone famous who fits the criteria so far. We still don't know the sport he played, or the other thing(s) he is famous for.
Was he famous for golfing, boxing, racing, or playing pool?
Definitions: "racing" could be any of car racing, horse racing, bicycle racing, or foot racing. "Pool" means any game like billiards, snooker, etc..

Yes, but here's where I'll drop the hint. He was a professional athlete, but that's kind of tangential as he was not a very successful one and became much better known as something else. Was he famous for golfing, boxing, racing, or playing pool?

Re: Twenty Questions - Game 168
Did the sport, in which he competed before going on to greater success in other endeavours, feature one or more balls?
The only person you're truly competing against, Wesley, is yourself.
Re: Twenty Questions - Game 168
No, other than the two under the player's pants/shorts.Did the sport, in which he competed before going on to greater success in other endeavours, feature one or more balls?
18 questions down and you're still miles away. Focussing on the sport will not likely get you there.

Re: Twenty Questions - Game 168
This is pretty challenging. The best piece of information we have about him is that he is a failed boxer or racer who became a businessman, and Google searches for something like "failed boxer turned businessman" don't really turn up any useful possibilities.
We also have to ask if our Canadian friend has left us any clues along the way:
We also have to ask if our Canadian friend has left us any clues along the way:
Emphasis mine. Is this a hint that we are looking for a hurdler? That would likely qualify as a "racer". But I can't find any hurdlers-turned-businessmen, and in any case, we were advised that determining the sport isn't likely to help us. (If this wasn't a clue, then I think boxer is most likely - but again, we are warned against this line of thought.)
