Lol, my bad. We posted one minute apart so I didn't see your post. I'm thinking more along the lines of royalty, since they are technically politicians but you don't necessarily think of them as such.

Nah, it's totally fine, my first instinct was asking the same question. Just thought someone might have a better idea.

Is this person a political activist?

But a voice in my head (probably my intuition, but who knows nowadays who's in someone's head) says 'bring this name out, say the name' so my free guess is Nelson Mandela.
It's not Nelson Mandela. For one thing, this person is still alive. But your guess presents an opportunity to clarify the politician question a bit more. I would think of Nelson Mandela as a "traditional" politician, at least once he entered politics. Whereas, this peron, while he was/is technically a politician by most common definitions, I don't really think of him as a politician (and I almost answered "no" to the question before thinking about it more).

1. Not female
2. A real person
3. Not mainly known for their work in entertainment
4. Alive today
5. Not a writer
6. A politician, sort of, technically, but probably not the first thing that comes to mind to describe this person; not a "traditional" politician (see also post #26)
7. Not American
8. Not known for their work in the academic world
9. Not a professional athlete
10. Not a business person
11. Not European
12. A political activist

Guesses: Not Nelson Mandela

I considered Dalai Llama until I remembered how many books he had written.

Why does/would that rule him out?

Whoops, sorry about that. I didn't know he wrote books, and the summary page of his official website didn't mention it.

Actually, I just re-read the summary biography. It does mention his writings. My bad there. ("He has also authored or co-authored more than 110 books.")
