GM NOTE:

The proposal to switch the game over to discord only is valid. However, the forum serves a valuable purpose for many roles and when the official game begins colony management will be much more important.

We do not advise you to disregard his request.

Our team is having alot of fun and will go whatever path the players prefer. Tgat being said, roleplaying is a part of this game not all of it.

I am in favour of the forum.

I confess that roleplaying is something that I enjoy.

I vote in favour of hiring Grogg.

Forum or Discord, both are good to me. Secret playing on Discord is good but WebDip forum is easier for me. I think we should continue playing on two different sites.

And Brain, you should update legislation proposals because memorising every proposal doesn't sound good.

I don't want to vote about Grogg, it's left to fellow councilors to decide.

Out of interest, how are the proposal pass/fails being decided in the above? My understanding was that a proposal required at least 3 votes in favour of it to be officially considered, at which point the proposal passed/failed based on a majority vote.

It's not such a problem for Proposal 0.4, which has effectively been nullified by outside events, but why does Proposal 0.5.2 pass if the only person to have voted on it is PW?

Dearest Grogg, despite the latent creepiness
... I see you in market while I fix holes...
I can hardly refuse such a lovely gift.

##Vote Yes - Proposal 0.5.2 Hire Grogg as a specialist

##Vote Yes - Proposal 0.5.2

In regards to voting in Discord - it's rough for me to access it when at work, but easier at home. That being said, I think using Discord for the RP side and the forum for colony management and proposal voting is much easier for me.

As you may have noticed, I am more into this for the colony management side, but do think it's fun to read what you all are doing in Discord :)

I haven't modified my code for determining pass/fail from the last sim yet. I believe the current code will result in pass if there are more yes votes than no votes. You guys are welcome to establish a different system.

Um, so "passes" in your post above means it is set to pass if it stays like that at phase end, not that it has *been* passed?

Correct. Votes are finalized at the end of the phase. Until then, you are welcome to change your votes or propose new proposals.

Because signups aren't over for several more days

Yavuzovic has a point. The game has actually started and it's quite misleading for this to be called a "sign up" thread at this point.

The map does not appear to have numbered hexes? What is this numbering?

You can enable it on your end. Expand the map in the top left and it is one of the options in the menu bar.
