Also, I am reminding everyone that there is a small element of randomization in the fish increase. Around a 1-3 increase or decrease from the theoretical r * 1.5 = n (r = remaining fish before the increase, n = new amount of fish). You are hereby reminded :)
There’s randomization? So someone may have not overfished, but they also may have? This is insanity.
No, actually it makes very good sense to have an element of randomness in the rate of increase of the fish stock. In real life, even the best-designed scientific model can only make predictions about the behaviours of large populations of animals, there will always be an error margin. So I agree with the GM for doing in this way.

Kirby, eating five people in place of fish doesn’t make you a good boi, it in fact makes you a bad boi.

Hm I just realized something. If Jamie is the only person who has an investigative ability, then he can just steal as much fish as he wants without any consequences. Unless somebody just guesses that Jamie is lying.

I hope Jamie uses the power for good.

Well, apparently you can try and guess his ability to copy it and investigate him. I also can move the legal limit to stop anyone.

It is illegal to fish above the limit not impossible although it's easier to get caught.

PHASE CHANGE
Round 1, Phase 2 has ended.
It is now Round 2
Because functionally nothing is happening during Phase 2 (ie, no abilities executed), the rules are being changed. The phases are now merged into a single phase with a minimum of 24 hours of length. PMs will be sent out explaining when your abilities will now take effect, given the changes.

You an illegal fisher, then? I’m going to have to… “liberate” your fish (and oil) if so.

Maybe we can find an ability that can see your power, confirm that it is indeed a copy ability, and then Jamie can call out the official name.

No, but I have the power to audit and sue anyone I suspect is fishing over the legal limit. That is how I know it is possible to fish illegally. Haven't caught anyone yet (illegal catch returns as max legal catch btw).

If "illegal catch" and "max legal catch" return the same result, surely your power is useless because you can't actually tell the difference?

Or if somebody has this then I can copy it, see everyone else’s powers and copy whichever ones i feel like

I’d be unstoppable

No, but if the return is less than the legal limit I know it to be true. If the return is te legal limit but the implied total fish caught implies a probable illegal catch and can gamble and sue.

What happens if you sue someone, and it turns out they didn't exceed the legal limit?

Do you go to jail instead?

My points are quite fine, so I shouldn’t get fined any more.
