I have so much warm and fuzzies from most of you; it's going to be hard to pull mafia from town at this rate.

Why won't anybody talk to me?
What do you want to talk about?
Potatoes
Anything you find particularly inspiring about potatoes? I personally am a big fan of mashing them.

I am as well. I've been doing the mashed potatoes at Thanksgiving since I was six or so. Settled on something with a lot of leeks and a hint of goat cheese at some point, which is excellent.

I was going to make pizza dough yesterday and have a potato pizza for lunch, but I was too tired after skiing. Potatoes on pizza are excellent.

I'm also really looking forward to fresh french fries, which has been hard for takeout to accomplish well.

About 3 or 4 years ago we cut cable entirely, and went with an android box. Do I feel guilty about the illegal acquisition of content? Maybe? Sometimes? But the cable bill was ridiculous. We do have Netflix, and if I am so inspired I'd subscribe to NHL package. We stream Coronation Street from ITV using a VPN. And that's about the extent of our TV watching. Moving the TV to the basement made for an easy cut to viewing time since we'd rather be on the main floor or outside.

Can't say I feel like I am missing anything.
Whats your favorite NHL team.

Why do you think scum!damo would have to signal to Tyranthraxas to lightning bolt Vecna aka "The Original NK"?
You clearly didn't get my impression...
Can you lay out exactly what you're suggesting?
Oh, I see, it was an impression.

It's a Jamie impression, isn't it?

I was just trying to lay in some Jamie into this non-Jamie game.

But, it's worth noting only a scum player can actually shoot anyone. Do I think damo is signalling his sniper buddy? Not right now, but if I get more scum~vibes from him then this possibility will help tip my hand into voting him.

I am looking forward to Chaqa relating how the Chipotle wage increase will impact their eating habits.
I mean, anyone who is in lower income brackets should be concerned with the relatively quick increase in wage for unskilled labor.

And yeah, I said it, working at Chipotle isn't a skill.

But to be fair - minimum wage should've actually kept up with inflation/productivity/'livable wages' over the past 30+ years and all the politicians suck for not allowing it....

ANYWAYS, off my soapbox for now...
If you have some skill that employers want, they now have to make your job more appealing than Chipotle (or an Amazon warehouse, but that's a lower bar). Good for everyone except the people who pay wages, and they should all be eaten anyway.
Small businesses would like to have a word with you about being eaten.

Dick's fries are the worst fries on the face of the earth, and I don't eat meat, so there's not much appeal in dick's.

The fry problem is that you need to eat them fresh out of the fryer or they're not worth it, and that's hard if the food isn't being eaten on site.

One of my first real things I cooked on my own, that I wanted to make, with only me looking at the recipe was this thing called a French omelette. It was an omelette with sliced apples and cheese. I'd never made an omelette before, I was 16, and thought, "what the hell." It was ok. I wouldn't make it again, and never did...and I love omelettes. I prefer mine to include spinach, bacon, and blue cheese. Sometimes a jalapeno to keep me honest.

Now, a common lunch for me is apple slices topped with a local medium cheddar.
Who called that thing a French omelette? You won't find it in France
A French omelette must be "baveuse". And it take some effort to get it right.
