A bit of musing about thrones and claims thereunto...

The throne that Caesar claims is presently not apparently challenged; but while waking from my sleep I noted that the fates intimated to me that I am not a claimant to the throne. This waking thought has haunted me. That probably SOMEONE received a vision declaring that they ARE a claimant. Perhaps more than one person.

And perhaps that person wishes to be in the shadow at present. For safety's sake. Which might be an excellent plan.

But also... perhaps Caesar's claim is fabricated. In which case perhaps the actual throne-holder is keeping quiet for safety's sake.

There may be a way to move some of that insecurity onto a more secure footing.

BUT my question about it all remains... is there a connection between "rebellion against the throne," and 'scum?' i.e. if we find rebels, does that mean we find scum? Are there two different 'fights' taking place in this realm? (Town vs Scum; and loyalists vs rebels) OR are they really one fight? (Townies being also loyalists, and Scum being rebels.)

Thoughts?
From what Vecna said, it sounds like ther are mutiple players that can make a claim to the throne, since he says his alternate win condition is to correctly predict by day 4 who will hold the throne at the end of the game. What I do not know is how a player takes the throne, if everyone will be informed when someone holds the throne, and if holding the throne at the end of the game is also an alternate win condition for those who can claim it. Does anyone who hasa "claim to the throne" wish to share any information about how to claim it?
The question here is if saying you are a claimant or a not claimant is beneficial or detrimental to town.

We need to keep who is a claimant secret. If scum know who has claim, they control who will have the throne, and will be able to coerce vecna because of it, essentially turning him scum.

I'm assuming the throne works the natural way, in that once the guy with the throne dies the next person in line gets it.

Because vecna talked about his role so we can talk about it. Mechanics are more fun than trying to read a bunch of d1 bullshit

Ezio, why would Vecna reveal himself if that were how the throne worked? That'd put a huge target on his back.

Our choice of votes today should be between all the people making remarkably stupid and presumptuous comments about Vecna.

Rest be assured my devoted followers, your IMPERATOR has a strong preference for achieving the victory condition where he is certain of victory, over one where he has to guess as to which individual currently sits on the throne amongst a maelstrom of chaos and violence.

The knowledge that I might have a nemesis out there does not sit easy with me though, especially since some individuals seem to have it out for your mercy full leader.

Your Augustine leader demands this treacherous barbarian's head.

I shall organize a triump to honour the hero of the republic that brings me said head on a platter.

For the glory of rome

Yeah, I can see brain injecting a jester into this setup, and he can see brain "randomly" selecting Vecna to play the role.

Your emperor, in all his wisdom and patience, deigns to remind all you superstitious rabble of the proclamation of the ancient oracle.

In our ancient history the oracle spoketh of the following prophecy: There shall be 3 barbarian overlords, and they shall be opposed by a group of 10 valiant heroes.

Even though it is Ceasar's opinion that the display here is mostly of a bunch of peon's as opposed to valiant heroes, he would urge you all to stop spreading these falsehoods and doubts.

Imo the crown is unlikely to matter at all except for vecnas wincon and so we should all just ignore it.

I voted Durga because she told me to and my meta is to sheep Durga.
