Foxcastle and Bonatogether were tied at 3 votes when you voted for damo, if you preferred Foxcastle over Bonatogether, why didn't you vote for Foxcastle then? Why didn't you vote for one of them 7 hours earlier instead of just saying you wanted to vote for one of them?

I don't currently think Damo is scum, so as far as I'm concerned I've gleaned info from this. You can do as you like.

Ghug is an interesting choice to NK. Eden and Bona came to my mind as possible scum who kills Ghug N1.

Do they seem scummy independent of this thought?

I think Bona is scummy, but I have a hard time reading Bona, the only time I townread him he was scum. But this game remembers me that one, with huge walls and a lot of noise and not much content.

Eden I wasn't scumreading but that interaction with Bona and Ghug at night look really weird.

To clarify: I was fine with Damo dying, because I do think his not getting votes was suspicious, but I was not *invested* in it beyond the theater required to get votes on him.

If you think that's suspicious, remember I will also sometimes hard push people I townread to make them less likely to die to a nightkill.

This is why President Eden is actually tied with Koala as my number one suspect. When I was suspecting Fox, they swooped in and encouraged that. Then, somewhere along the line, I swear they did the same thing with damo, but I can't find it. And now they are supporting a push for Chaqa.

Kind of seems like they are happily encouraging momentum against different people without actually providing much original thought. Nobody suspects them because people feel happy to be validated by them.

"Coached" is simple. It suggests that someone is coaching you. That is, that a particular post or comment looks like someone else, more experienced than you, was advising you what you should say - for example by means of the Mafia Chat.

"Based" is a slightly more nuanced concept that these young people use. I think it means "being authentically yourself" without caring too much what others think of you.

So @Sweet - Bona is basically saying he thinks your comments about President Eden are sincere; but he has a nagging doubt that it's possible he's wrong and, instead, someone advised you to say what you said.

Thanks! Looks like I had the right idea then. I wonder if "based" comes from "anchored". That is, it's an expression along the same lines as saying someone is "even keeled", "dependable", "cool-headed", etc.

As I said in one of my first posts of the night, I have a mild town read on Damo and a mild scum read on Eden. I was townreading Bona, but mostly I think he's hard to read anymore. I wish I could still read him easily.

I'm feeling pretty town vibes from Sweet and Bozo.

Koala is probably an OK vote.

Snowy is also off.

By the way, I had some awesome news today.

The record company pressed 300 CDs and is awaiting delivery of 300 vinyl LPs of my band's album. The CDs went on sale at the beginning of March and the album went on pre-order two weeks ago. They've told us, as of yesterday, that they've sold over half the CDs, and the pre-order has already accounted for nearly 60% of the vinyl LPs, which they haven't even started shipping.

I know this is quite small stuff but for me it's pretty cool and I'm stoked.

In what way did you find out that the mafia could choose roles?

i like vaguely figured it out from discussion but i didn't fully grasp it until i read the setup n1

Do you typically play D1 without reading the setup?

depends on how long it is and if it seems complicated

simpler/shorter = read faster

Damn this is not at all like Town of Salem/the games of Warewolf I played in summer camp

Regardless, this is my list so far (In decreasing order of how much trust I have in them)

Townreads:
1. Me
2. Jamiet - for actually trying to collect info on the game
3. Bozo - Same reason as Jamie

Not sure/mid trust:
4. Eden - I think I'm biased because their explainer post is really stepping my game up
5. KoalaAttack - I explained why before and Bona is discrediting them with sub-par theories imo
6. Snowy - They're gonna be low until they get more active
7. S&C - They seem to be steering the game (I'll explain more below)

Scumreads
8. Bona - I might be putting them too low but I just don't like the ~vibe~ I'm getting from them. I don't know them well enough to make an *accurate* assessment but it seems that their posts are a lot of words but not a lot of substance
9. Chaqa - They are forthcoming on any particular stances at all

There is (frustratingly) little to gleam about rdr and damo from my POV. Anything to say about them comes mostly on the opinions of other people



For my opinion on S&C (because they're the lowest on my list that I haven't given a good explanation for):

I think every theory they've given so far has been rather flaky. They seem to be pushing hard to kill particular people without actually giving ample evidence to back it up.

To give a (bad) example: their shading of Damo makes practically no sense.
