Are you saying I should say nothing and force the Clerk to claim today?!Bonatogether wrote: ↑Sat May 11, 2024 8:47 pmwhy would you ever claim to have found a crumb, and what it was?sweetandcool wrote: ↑Sat May 11, 2024 8:34 pmI previously stated that I had found a cop scan crumb.
I went through most of the thread this last phase and managed to find the other three scans.
Now that the bot is up, I don't want to give away too much because while the crumbs aren't the easiest to find they are clear in meaning. If I am the NK cop can reveal and if the cop is the NK I can reveal their scans.
It turns out that our Cop has gotten two guilty scans.
One of which is: Vecna.

if the cop wants to claim, they are free to do so, and if they really do have such visible crumbs, they can be found if they diesweetandcool wrote: ↑Sat May 11, 2024 8:48 pmAre you saying I should say nothing and force the Clerk to claim today?!Bonatogether wrote: ↑Sat May 11, 2024 8:47 pmwhy would you ever claim to have found a crumb, and what it was?sweetandcool wrote: ↑Sat May 11, 2024 8:34 pmI previously stated that I had found a cop scan crumb.

Make it easy for them how?sweetandcool wrote: ↑Sat May 11, 2024 8:43 pmI worry it will make it easy for Mafia (yes, I recognize if I found it there is decent chance Mafia does as well).Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Sat May 11, 2024 8:37 pmIs there a reason you don't want to tell us the other one?sweetandcool wrote: ↑Sat May 11, 2024 8:34 pmIt turns out that our Cop has gotten two guilty scans.
I think you should tell us the other one now as well.
I don't think it is necessary because we can't lose the info. Unless Cop gets killed and I am actually lying Mafia. That is the main risk.
I think we should just trust the real cop (yes, I know it seems like PR hunting, I am not trying to. If literally everyone demands for the second guilty scan I guess I will be forced to unveil it).
I'll let you into a secret: The Mafia team already knows who Vecna's team mates are.

I actually thought quite a bit about that.Bonatogether wrote: ↑Sat May 11, 2024 8:49 pmalso why ever not let a cop make the call for themself to reveal or not?
If Clerk claims now they risk a CC battle (presumably with Vecna).
Another player finding there crumbs and announcing them? Seems exquisite to me. Can't imagine a better situation other than the game being solved.
If I was incorrect in announcing this, I apologize.

I'd rather not explain. You are correct that they would know their team.Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Sat May 11, 2024 8:51 pmMake it easy for them how?sweetandcool wrote: ↑Sat May 11, 2024 8:43 pmI worry it will make it easy for Mafia (yes, I recognize if I found it there is decent chance Mafia does as well).Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Sat May 11, 2024 8:37 pm

Re: Mafia 88: Murder at the Meadery - GAME THREAD
If Sweet is telling the truth, and is not the Cop, and has read the crumbs correctly, then there is another Town benefit to this play, which is that the Cop may be able to stay hidden and get at least one more scan.
Whereas, if the Cop claims this turn, then the Mafia will of course 100% kill them tonight.
Also, if Sweet is talking bullshit and, for example, the real Cop has an inno scan on Vecna, then they should *carefully consider* telling is that, so that we can kill scum!Sweet instead.
But I'm not sure why scum!Sweet would go to the lengths of creating this fake news.

I don't know why I didn't think about it, but I just realized I should have just straight up claimed.
But then I suppose I would have to worry about drawing the Clerk out.
But surely they wouldn't CC a proper scan?

I was outlining the advantages to the approach you have chosen here. I was not calling you an idiot in the slightest.

I’d say that if Cop DOES NOT have a guilty on Vecna, then Cop should claim now.
Otherwise, we assume Sweet read the crumbs correctly.

Yes of course, thank you. After reviewing how D4 went, I realized that Vecna and Bonatogether have likely been bussing sweetandcool.
I still think sweetandcool is mafia and is trying to get out in front of the cop claim.

You think a very great amount of bussing is taking place, don't you Bozo?bozotheclown wrote: ↑Sat May 11, 2024 9:13 pmAfter reviewing how D4 went, I realized that Vecna and Bonatogether have likely been bussing sweetandcool.

You think that Vecna has been bussing Sweetandcool, and that Sweetandcool has now concocted a grand scheme to bus Vecna even harder in return?

The way Vecna was playing I thought he might be the cop trying to avoid getting NKed, but apparently he is just mafia.
