With regards to this game, there are never super good reasons to scumread someone in the early game. You just throw votes and see what sticks and who starts squirming under random pressure. I didn't fully expect you to be the one to constantly question an early day 1 vote either which is another reason you haven't been bleeding town juice.
Damo is failing the squirm test though.
Durga is an example of a townie reaction to pressure.

And this Jasnah/Bunnygo thing is really annoying because it's hard to put real pressure on anyone outside of those two right now.

This meshes with my view of jasnah from the one or two mafia games we played together previously. I found her to be one of my least favorite people to play with. At best we're flipping a mafia. At worst we're flipping a destructive town member whose ego and bullheadedness will keep from being useful to catching mafia.

Oh that's why you're so keen on flipping jasnah. I can sympathize with that since I also often am tempted to flip people based on how much they irritate me.

We can talk at night per normal, PRs submit night actions, VTs chill in thread.

So my instinct is that scum are more likely to be quick to give people townclear status based on this kind of thing. Do you agree with that in general and do you think Chaqa is doing that here?

It kinda pinged me too, but ultimately I'm the sort of person who gets convinced by little townslips that nobody wants to take as seriously too, so it's not a slam dunk. Vote him for my reason.

I don't mind your black-and-white reason because yeah it's similar to the 'no scum bussed teacon' thing but I really struggle to see scum!Chaqa going off about a few people scumreading him hours into the game.

This is what's had me reasonably certain Chaqa is town, but ghug makes a great point, and that kind of emotional show isn't exclusive to him being town.

The nuance point is also not an all-or-nothing tell, just a heuristic that is somewhat alignment indicative but not 100%. He can be a bit stubborn / have a bit of a blind side to facts/arguments he doesn't make himself. But he is also more likely to seek frames that lack appropriate nuance as impostor/mafia than he is as town, so it's still alignment indicative to a degree.

But like what actually happens at night? Like do people still chat in here or is it just quiet in here like a break?

People tend to chat, but try not to give away secrets that can help the scum team while they're deciding whom to kill.

It is generally quieter, but still active. Don't expect 50 pages per 24 hours.

Basically, if Jasnah is a townie, the Mafia knows, and want to keep them around because it's someone they can day kill later on. That's bad, because later kills are more useful than earlier (they're more likely to hit baddies, if I'm understanding right)

Maybe new mafia, but the ones that played with her before are probably very aware that when she starts playing properly, you aint gonna misskill her during daytime no more.

I did, but it's a bit outdated. In the game I was ghost he was both town and amiable. He still reacted in ways that made me strong townread him by the end though.

As you will inevitably see when you finish reading, my take is that ghug is onto something but that it's not a 100% all-or-nothing tell. It is true that you show less nuance when you're impostor/mafia and that you are more likely to default to simplistic explanations and frames. You have been doing that here.

My issue is that as this is a no-flip game, we will never know if Bunny is Miller if/when he dies. Likewise for jasnah. If we flip jasnah, at some point the JOAT can autopsy or the Oracle can reveal, and then we will get two people's roles/alignments for one, basically.

If jasnah comes up as Miller -> Bunny is scum
If jasnah comes up as scum -> Bunny is Miller
If jasnah comes up as town -> Bunny is Miller

See the value?

Additionally, two hardclaims cannot exist independently. This is a big issue for me and I'm surprised others aren't making a big deal out of it. Egos, mostly.

It's possible jasnah is town doing this, but I can't see any reason for town!jasnah to fake hardclaim Miller and I can't see any reason for scum!Bunny or nonMillerTown!Bunnyt to counterclaim.

This means Bunny must be Miller and jasnah is probably scum, to me at least.

You can keep blabbing about your hard-claim all you want, put some links and all, but no real miller would be retracting it in the face of a counter-claim. She'd be on that warpath.

It's up to you. Unlike the day phase, participation at night is not compulsory, there is no minimum participation requirement. Normally people discuss their reactions to the "flip" (the revealed alignment of the person voted out) but in this game, that isn't a thing, because of the unusual "no reveal" element of the setup.

It's good to at some point post your thoughts and reads. You may be a target for the nightkill, so getting a last will and testament for everyone to ignore later is good.

If you're the night kill, then that's a confirmed town that everyone can consider their thoughts as "clean". But in all honesty this group has a pretty bad record of ignoring the dead.

Otherwise it isn't too crucial, stop in and have a pellegrino after your date; I'll probably be having a manhattan.
