And for anyone curious:

I am going to revisit an interaction at EON1 that I can't discuss right now.

ghug/Chaqa was the interaction. ghug has no reason to put Chaqa as top townread. Chaqa's playing nice with ghug. They both got guns, and while I'm not necessarily sure that ghug was going to hipfire Chaqa, I am very confident the reverse was true. There's a detente between them that makes no sense based on personal history or game state, and it strongly suggests they know they're on the same team. They're finding awkward reasons not to sus each other because they know they'd shoot each other if they weren't on the same team.

I didn't want to blow the lid off this with so much time left, because now they're on notice and they're going to get to plan around us being aware of this awkward issue for them. But the thread is headed in the wrong direction and sitting on it was going to be even more counterproductive.

When it says this thread is [hidden], does that mean non-participants cannot see this thread? I ask because I wondered how many "guests" are people who are simply private browsing (did that before as scum) and if the answer is all of them, that has... implications.

Team is brainbomb / ghug / x, most likely Chaqa but not necessarily.

- All 3 took guns so they're not among the 9-11 (out of 11) town that took roses
- brainbomb's whining about being pressured over his pregame choice was so obviously mafia that's mad he got sussed on mechanics and not on being scummy, he's not once actually addressed any reasons why people put pressure on him and just whines about how mechanical info is unfair. Everything he did in his frustration yesterday was beg town to let him try to trick them. If you know bb you know he cares a lot about this kinda thing.
- ghug is forcing reads and disinterested in finding mafia, and awkwardly trying to justify a townread on Chaqa (who has done nothing to get "top townread" status) so that he has a reason why neither of them shoot each other. ghug generally agreed with the personality read on brainbomb I mentioned above and is now making up reasons not to be on a very strong day 1 wagon.

Chaqa hasn't actually done anything suspicious, but the numbers on guns suggest he's well above random chance to be mafia. He can prove he's town by shooting ghug and having ghug flip mafia. If he does some 300 IQ play where he shoots his own teammate to get a clear then he can have it I guess. But if they don't shoot each other they're 100% mafia, anyone who knows anything about them knows that the only thing they enjoy more than fucking with each other in mafia is winning so the only reason they won't hipfire each other is because they know they're on the same team.

I trust y'all will wake up in time to vote obvscum brainbomb out.

I kinda like your reasoning on Chaqa and Ghug and will wait on how N1 will play out, but I see this interaction that you are talking about. In fact, both Gun claimants are decent choices for a DK and no one is pushing them, which is also interesting.
I am not so sure about BB. I think he will react the same way either as town or scum on being pushed because of pre-game comments (it has nothing to do with mechanics).

Since Eden has proposed the brain/ghug/Chaqa scumteam that I proposed the other day and people seem interested in it, my post where I said ghug was bussing brain and Chaqa was defending him was in reaction to the two below posts:

Here Chaqa makes a comment that to me looked like it was trying to deflect attention from all the hubbub about brain likely taking gun and the implications for brain's alignment... by saying "maybe I have the only gun" Chaqa tries to defuse the situation (ironically later he said that it's possible there are no guns, so he's really just very actively sowing disinformation):

Just waking up this morning I saw this and thought it was incredibly low bar from Chaqa, to a degree I wonder if he is going this low in an effort to get sympathy play because he's made statements about how this game is not fun and he is treated badly here:

That said, I think, learning from past games, flipping brain today is very good because it will give a lot of information, and it will keep us from having a D2 that continues to go on about brain's status, in addition to the fact that he is scum 47% of the time based on my previous calculations, meaning it's the best equity flip we have for D1 by far.

Backing off from all the gun claims/pseudoclaims, I actually think Chaqa is the scummiest player so far - and I am no longer just trolling. The main thing Chaqa has done is make contradictory and confusing statements about the claims, adding to the general brouhaha without adding any effort to solve the game. He's swooped in for some one-liners in a way that you can tell he's watching the thread, he's just intentionally not participating. Isn't that a little funny for someone's "last hurrah?"

Why? Unless the scumteam is exactly Brain, Ghug and Chaqa I think they have a decent chance to win the game. After N3 this is a pure vanilla game and if one deep scum is alive he have a decent chance to win considering the last games.

That is why I removed his name from the sign-up list.

However I believe he then contacted one of the GMs and asked to be put on. So technically he did sign up if that counts.

Plus, he knows the game is happening and that he's in it, because he has actually posted 4 times.
