Huh, as an NCSU/Duke alum I try to never go into Chapel Hell... but I am intrigued... hadn't heard of DixieCon.

This is the 32nd year they've held the event - I'll be making the trip with my 18 year old son; there are a lot of other games besides Diplomacy going on - some years, more people playing other games than Dip!

Awesome Chris. I'm taking my daughter, Emily, 27. She comes for the other games.

DixieCon is a relaxed atmosphere. If you stay in the dorms, Franklin Street is a stone's throw away. The Dip games are high quality.

Doubt I will stay in a dorms since my girlfriend (interestingly enough named Emily and 26) lives in Carborro. But, it sounds like fun. I am checking the dates.

The Hilton isn't a bad walk, but there is another place that is really right around the corner. Slightly more expensive. Hope to see you there!
