circumnavigation

Are you Magellan?
Would you rather the earth be flat?
Is diplomacy maps all there actually is to the world, everything else is made up?

Mashed potato is a product of the American company Gunderson's Tubiferous Vegetable Products, Inc. It was developed and released into production in 1864. Then the properties of mashed potato became widely known. "Spud-u-creme" became the first major brand, thanks to which the procedure became widespread. Mashed potatoes are a crime against humanity. Why ruin good potatoes like that?

Eating mashed potatoes is like eating warmed up vomit.

Couldn't agree more. You can possibly get away with it in the form of champ or bubble and squeak, but mostly it's an abomination. Those who include it as part of a roast dinner should be strung up from the nearest lamppost.

Rumor has it that Mussolini's downfall wasn't sparked by his embroilment of Italy in a world war, but rather his imposition of mashed potatoes as a national food.

Mashed potatoes are actually pretty good, perhaps you just haven't eaten them prepared in a good way.

I agree that fresh made mashed potatoes seasoned with butter and dill are quite good, however that which comes from a box is not suitable for consumption.

Cooked, mashed potatoes are essential to the potato pancake = Latke, etc.
Not The NY Times spoofed a "Style" interview article to malign Nobelist I.B. Singer, thus:
"I have a new theorem on the demise of the Novel.
But first Let me give you my latkes recipe [if that's the Yiddish plural here] ...

Gnocci? = terra incognita. (Dumpling Duh!? the AI Editing Thingie got the Latin right)
terrae incognita (Wrong! Bad AI)

Indeed so, and likewise flour is essential to actual cake. But this does not change the undeniable fact that anyone about to tuck in to a big bowl of finest flour is not going to experience a taste sensation.

Patience Wusti, I am on my Sydney pilgrimage, spent two days at Bulli Beach with Cory Oliver, Bondi Lifesaver & hand crafted high performance custom made bodyboards, we had an exchange of bodyboard presents, see his facebook posts in Vintage Bodyboarder Collectors group. He has made me a new "Primal" bodyboard.
I have also been doing standup comedy as Dusty Balzac Bush Philosopher as well on this pilgrimage.

The Mashed Potato, what an interesting dance style, not as good as a Military Two Stepper imho.
Powdered food is in the words of Sergeant Cockerney Trembler "Orrible muck" & only fit to be fed to those who cannot keep their weapons clean & in good order, or to Defaulters & Blighters.
Sergeant Cockerney Trembler is a wonderful NCO & the way he leads a unit into an assault on a Hotel or Brothel is quite a sight to behold.
