I thought we were all Gerrymandered. Don't we have lots of contradictory or inconsistent ideas, and yet our lives follow only the dominant path?

On second thought, this may not apply to BB.

having the right to vote is guaranteed for every American in our constitution. There is no stipulation about needing an ID

Of course, European nations actually issue IDs and don't use it as a way to block people from voting so there's that. I suspect no one would care about voter ID if local officials didn't then use those as a cheap way to suppress the vote. Large parts of the U.S. have an ugly, ugly history that leaves people rightly suspicious.

The constitution, I believe, specifies you need to be both an American citizen and over 18. A document proving that you are both seems to be in keeping with this. It certainly isn't against it.

the constitution was written like 4000 years ago, so no it says nothing to that effect.

So... the Constitution existed about 2000 years before Jesus was born?

There is currently no amendments which add verbiage indicating that voting rights are based on having a valid ID. feel free to quote where in the constitution specifically stating such has been added either by amendment or by original

if this were the case there would have been numerous instances of the Supreme Court reviewing state by state voter fraud in every election for the past trillion years

Article I, Section 4 gives states and Congress authority to regulate the "manner" of elections. However, that regulation can't abridge on the privileges and immunities of Citizens under the 14th amendment. Long story short, states (or congress) can enact an ID law up until it restricts anyone's right to vote. If it does, then it's unconstitutional.
