A monumental achievement

Hey everyone, I'd just like to draw your attention to the fact that a highly monumental achievement has just happened on this site. Perhaps one of the greatest achievements in the site's history. What is this achievement I hear you ask, and why is it so monumental?

"Test" Bad Strategies Here (https://webdiplomacy.net/board.php?gameID=242215) has just overtaken Pacifist Diplomacy (https://webdiplomacy.net/board.php?gameID=166960) as the longest game on the site in terms of turns processed.

This has been a year and a half in the making and I'd like to thank all those who participated. (For comparison Pacifist Diplomacy has been going for over 5 years now). May the progress of this wonderful game continue forever onward. It's not like there's anything that can be done to stop it (barring vengeful mod interference of course...)

'The Gunboat varient is only one step more enjoyable that the infamous Pacifist varient, in which speaking is allowed but moving units is forbidden and the winner is the last player to lose the will to live.'--Octavious

I will have you know that this is as much a real game as Pacifist is, if not more. We worked hard to get to this point, and have entered hundreds, if not thousands more actual orders than the pacifists.

But my contention is that neither this nor pacifist are real games.

Therefore the record is still held by *my* game.

Bob! Alas, I have found a blasphemous heathen. Whatever shall we do? This pains and tears at my heart so.

The officially regarded longest game is gold's game. Sorry.

I do agree that gold's game is the longest proper game, and definitely one of this site's greatest achievements. But I still say mine is better than Pacifist (and it's still the longest  ).

THM came in and subbed for Italy and immediately changed the balance of power with his different negotiation style. When Russia was crushed, the last draw holdout gave in. Even though I only had my draw up because Italy was threatening me with annihilation otherwise

Why would not be a real game?
