Hmmm, personally took it as baby yoda knowing it was bad but being a predator species and not caring, hinting at a possible play on a dark side component to him in future episodes, and if so...it was pretty well done.

I thought it was funny. Baby didn't know any better. And it hints back to the more mischievous Yoda from the OT.

I think it added a new dimension to Baby yoda, not just some cute lil thing but a being with original sin and feral instinct
