#1 Post by Smokey Gem » Sat Jan 20, 2018 7:48 am

You can onlyhave one sentence describing your act of nerdism.
This will be voted on then the king crowned.
7 days to post your entry one per person.
No you cannot nominte others you nominate yourself with the act of greatest nerdism you have done.

That's not a lot of candidates, so far.
I, too, moderate a website for a boardgame. I, too, have travelled many miles to take part in a ftf opportunity for that boardgame... but I am more nerdy, because I only do it because I like the game... NOT because I am statistically good at it (like the other two candidates.) ##VOTEDARG

I dedicate my free time to writing novels. (I stop only to negotiate diplomacy treaties and enter moves)

I’m going to dispute the claim that I’m actually good at this game.

I’m just saying I’ve had experience being a nerd president. I think I’m ready and qualified to be a nerd king.

In the eighties, before AD&D's PH and MM were available as a rare imported books down here, I made my own D&D rules (with d6's only) and monsters (as seen on the tv series) from scratch and played it all alone, being myself the GM while controling a set of characters through a labyrinth...

Thank you, thank you. I'd like to take this time to thank all my fans. This is about you, not me. To all the haters out there who didn't believe in me -- look where I am now, dubbed The Nerd King on a boardgame website. Does it not get better than this?
