I'm not entirely sure what you mean by format, but I think the answer is yes. The game is exactly the same. One of our main selling points is that we have a moderator team working hard to stop cheaters, but I might be biased in several ways.

backstabbr doesn't comply with the online diplomacy DATC tests so you can enter orders that are wrong and don't get adjudicated correctly. We do comply with those rules so your orders will always do what they should via the game rules.

Curious!? Which orders does Backstabbr get wrong?

It has issues with coastal provinces. Norway support Gulf of Bothnia into StP North Coast is something you can enter without seeing an error until orders process. And from what I hear doesn't handle the convoy paradox's well, though I haven't tested that out.
