Texas Perfidious Thievery

#1 Post by dargorygel » Sat Mar 11, 2023 10:49 pm

I recently was in the so-called Texas panhandle. It seems obvious that Texas is up to no good. Why is that part of Texas called the panhandle? It is shaped nothing like a panhandle. It is a knob on the Texas map.

No, Texas observed that Oklahoma has a true panhandle. Look at the map. It's clearly a panhandle.

So Texas stole the name, because that is what Texas does. Poor Oklahoma has hardly any claims to fame. Only that musical, that really isn't that good, and their odd shape. Texas stole their shape name.

I propose we start calling that part of texas the Potholder. Because what else would you call the land under a panhandle.

Let's change the world, one state nickname at a time, starting by correcting this grave injustice.

This looks important.
The only person you're truly competing against, Wesley, is yourself.

Texas has a nub
Well, I grew up in the fallout from the riots in the '90s
Static cranes stand lifeless, castin' shadows on the town
I stare out that hallowed ocean as if to pick a fight
For thе dreams my old man dreamt for me lay on thе other side, yeah

As a Texan, I approve of this change.
