Fantasy Premier League
Anyone out there interested in a WebDip Fantasy Football League? Proper Football, obvs. None of this American nonsense
Premier League all kicks off next weekend, with a team setup deadline of 11:00am on this side of the pond. If you haven't already, you can sign up and pick your team here: https://fantasy.premierleague.com/
If there are a few who are interested, I'll happily set something up for a bit of friendly competition and send people a link on here or PM-ed if preferred.
Let me know!!

Re: Fantasy Premier League
Cool, so that's two? I've made my team and can definitely create a league. But would always be good to have a few more than three on board.
Anyone else keen??

Re: Fantasy Premier League
In Drafting you take turns picking one player until you have a squad filled out. No one has the same player in their team.tobieee911 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 05, 2020 11:16 amWhat is drafting? I have not really an idea how everything works
In Selection (or whatever you want to call it), we form a team limited by a budget. We could all field Vardy, for instance.

Re: Fantasy Premier League
Sorry, Claesar, I realise I wasn't clear. I'm just using the official Premier League Fantasy Football website - wasn't intending to draft, just run it straight from there. In which case, yes, we could all initially put in Vardy, but we'd all have to take him out again after we remember that he's Vardy...
But yeah, I was basically just intending to use the website/app, whereby people can make their own teams for a virtual budget, and then invite WebDip people to a private league on there... Apologies if that wasn't clear!

Re: Fantasy Premier League
Also, cdngooner, while you unfortunately can't pick all Arsenal players, you can definitely still get involved with the league if you'd like? To be honest, I'm thinking that we need a minimum of 5 or so players for it to have any semblance of worthwhile competition, so I'm super keen for more people to express an interest!!

Re: Fantasy Premier League
I looked at it and it looks like it requires quite a bit of week to week management, not just pick 'em and wait to the end of the season. Not sure I have time for that.
Re: Fantasy Premier League
Precisely so. Sorry, it's not a pick 'em and leave it kind of thing.
To be honest, I thought that was how all fantasy football worked, which is why I didn't specify from the outset. Now I see that, possibly, I should have done so!!
Not to worry!

Re: Fantasy Premier League
Sure, I already do this in a bunch of other leagues so I could join a webDip one easily enough

Re: Fantasy Premier League
#awks I had not realised that.
I'm in couple of other leagues already, so I'm not sure if I can also have a drafted team? But yeah, it also strikes me that drafting is fundamentally different because it's more, "set 'em up and let 'em go", whereas what I'm going for is a bit more week on week management.
