Registration is now open for a one-of-a-kind Diplomacy tournament: The 2024 Tournament Through Time.

This yearlong tournament, played via Discord, begins January 2nd. It will feature four variants in four rounds, with the final round acting as a "top table" to decide the winner of the whole tournament. Orders submissions will be roughly twice a week, with each round lasting ~2.5 months of real time.

  • Registration: https://forms.gle/EWWtBDu9owfMHqhWA
  • Introduction to DP variants: https://nopunin10did.com/introduction-to-dp-variants/
  • Discord Server: https://discord.gg/gXQgB2dJa5
These variants are in a class of their own, and the Diplomacy Points (DP) mechanics bring an additional element of subterfuge and cross-table interaction not seen in a typical map. The last TTT in 2018 was a lot of fun for everyone involved.

Whether you can commit to all four rounds or can only play one or two, please sign up! We would love to have you on the server and at the tables.

Out of curiosity: Which software do you use to adjudicate the maps?

I use Notepad++ and my brain to do the calculation, and I use Inkscape to edit the maps, drawing the orders more-or-less manually.

 So much manual work... Someone could make a tool for this if it doesn't exist already.

For sure, though for now, it is the life of a variant GM.
