Team Toronto is as follows:

Yonni - Full Press
Computer_Genius - Full Press
Lando Calrissian - Gunboat
Geofram - Public Press

We've yet to name a substitute nor have we determined how we'll be splitting up the six FvA games. We plan on hosting a little round robin warmup before making that decision. What is the deadline for that announcement?
No need to designate 1v1 assignments to me. Feel free to work that out internally :)

I just need a team captain from you.

What's the RR requirement to join? I mean I have a base RR of 99 and because I missed like 5 or 6 turns a few months ago its 69%

Nice.

This is also a concern for us as one of our players is in the same boat. We can of course artificially boost the RR before the WC matches start, but need to know the math first.

Posted in the discord but might as well check here too.

Any Seattle/WA/PNW teams forming? I also grew up in New England and only left ~1 year ago...so I might qualify for that region as well

There's a small American southern/east coast being set up on the discord. Just wondering if anyone here is interested in being a part.

I plan on being lenient. Ideally above 80%. But the team nature of the tournament tends to make NMRs very, very rare. It is also why substitutes are highly recommended. If a player CDs and there is no sub, your team forfeits, after all. So if a player is reliable enough to pass your muster, I will only really pick out the egregious ones

I suppose I should add the caveat that if your poor RR comes from NMR'ing in tournaments, I will be less lenient. Especially if it was *my* tournament.

Will I be forgiven for that one time I CD'd because I forgot that I needed to enter retreats in my last remaining game of the Masters with no centers and only one unit that was going to be destroyed anyway? Pleeeease?

We want Computer_Genius on our team, and not as a substitute.

Reliability Rating is a crap stat, certainly not worth using to block entry into a team-based tournament. It’s disadvantageous to new players and live players and players that experiment amongst friends and with new maps. I have over 4x as many Civil Disorders as Computer_Genius and yet my RR is 100% (and I haven’t even finished a game in almost 7 years!)

At minimum, the average weighted reliability rating for the entire team should be the only metric used to determine the relatability eligibility for any member of that team.

Otherwise you’re just asking us to play a ton of 1v1 games before December to artificially boost the RR of a team member we refuse to play without.

There's a team forming in the "Great Plains" region. Pretty much anywhere between Colorado and rural Illinois. Contact me here or on discord if you are interested. We need one more player for FP probably, and a substitute if possible.

First off, your RR is better because RR measures your performance over the past year. Mistakes are scrubbed away a year after they happen. Second, playing 1v1s will not remove the penalties incurred from missing phases either. Only time can (1 month for live games. 1 year for standard).

I agree with your overall sentiment. That is why I'm being lenient in general. However, computer genius (and temasek) CD'd out of the Masters tournament a few months ago without warning. And for how I'm viewing past dropouts, I will place a lot of emphasis on *without warning*. I am within my rights to deny them entry into this tournament, but I am agreeing to allow both in as a team sub and to participate in the final round, should your team qualify. Tournament CDs can and should be given more weight than CDs in a regular game, as the expectations of commitment are higher. Further, there should be a penalty of some sort given to those who cause tournament problems. Otherwise players will feel they can drop without consequence.

So all we need is someone to join the team that then immediately drops out allowing us to tap the player you’ve designated as “sub only”?

Okay, I've got a Brisbane team together now, but we're still looking for a sub, preferably also from Brisbane or Queensland, so that we can keep the team consistent.
