You guys are on the wrong track, focusing too much on the person being real, if that makes sense.
Could you explain that comment a bit more, in light of Q&A #3? (Is a person that is living/has lived)

Re: 20Q - Twenty Questions - Character Edition

Is the killing (or killings) the main thing this person is known for?

Re: Dealing with the Metagame

The prevalence of NMRs and replacement players also tends to push games toward draws. Often, a solo happens because one or more players don't play optimally. For example, Italy is aggrieved by Austria's stab and is willing to prioritize punishing Austria over stopping Germany's push toward the solo....

Welcome back, Fairbot!

We've missed you, my robotic friend. We humans needed some good FvA ass-whoopings to remind us of our place. ;-)

Re: Question regarding a standoff situation

OP you have it right. In your second example, the Russian A Pru fails to dislodge the German A Sil. Therefore, the Russian A Pru cannot cut support coming from Sil for an attack on itself, and the German F Ber will dislodge the Russian A Pru. Here is a link to the rules for those who are interested:...

Re: Gunboat GR List - GR 101 and above

Funny this question should come up. I've been compiling a list of the top FvA players by Ghost Rating. I have the top 50 complete and up-to-date as of today, except for the mysterious #35. Here is the list. (I won't promise to keep it updated. It took a lot of trial-and-error to pull it together.) R...

Re: The Carebear Conundrum

C'mon ... whatever else you might think about the topic of this thread, England cannot seriously be accused of playing that game like a Carebear. Look at how he allied with France in the early going, then brutally savaged him once the French units had all moved south and east.

Re: Drop-outs EVERY Turn???

If you stick to games with a 90% or 95% required reliability rating, you will find there are far fewer missed turns. Occasionally you might go an entire game with no missed turns. :D Of course, there aren't so many games set up with a 90%+ required RR. You could create one yourself, but it's sometim...

Once we let facebook infiltrate the webdip community ... Facebook has already "infiltrated" this site and it's awesome. Playing 1v1 against an advanced AI like Fairbot, backed by major corporate resources, where else would you or I be able to do that? I trust the site owners to keep the site ad-fre...

Also, 30 is too high a stake for Chaos. Go with 5, you'll have a better chance.

Re: Roll the dice - join a chaos game

There is one going right now: https://webdiplomacy.net/board.php?gameID=369726

If you wait 'til that one ends, you'll have a better chance. You can pick up several players who want to go again.

Re: After 20 years of fighting the Taliban

Spend a couple of days watching Fox News, or talk to a few Republicans, then tell me the Civil War talk is bunkum. Fox is the moderate American news outlet for Republicans/Trump supporters. January 6th happened. The views held by "these fascists" / "dangerous nutcases" are the views of probably a ma...
