One question,
Is it poison ivy or poison oak? If so, I can foresee some problems there.

Re: Deglobalization
Actually, I have to take that back. I just saw a video from him yesterday. He has been pretty consistently saying that Russia will eventually win against Ukraine. His whole take on Russia's expansionism is that they need to expand to take over the nine traditional avenues for conquest of Russia. It ...

Re: Deglobalization
I have seen a bit from him on YouTube, but have not read any of his books yet. My initial take is that he seems to paint a bit of a rosy picture for the USA. He's totally turned 180 degrees on Ukraine (like the rest of us, he thought the resistance would be short lived and Russia would win even if n...

Re: Why do Christians like the antichrist so much?
Perhaps a benefit of Trumptoad's corrupt and dangerous acts that have threatened Democracy in the USA is the resulting mobilisation of those who now realise the threat that he and his supporters pose to their democracy, they have been shaken from apathy into action? For most people in the USA, it s...

You can write a Christmas Classic
Add a verse at a time in the style of Dr. Seuss: The Grinch on Mt. Crumpet liked Christmas a lot, But the Who's down in Whoville, Did not. While the Grinch hung his wreaths and some candles with wire, The mayor on Who Square spoke to spark the Whos' ire, then they all grabbed up pitchforks and wood ...

Re: Why do Christians like the antichrist so much?
Final tally, for Trump toadies in my voting districts was that five were eliminated in the primaries, of the remaining two, one was defeated in a runoff; and only one got into office. I’ll be keeping a sharp eye on our new lieutenant governor, but the governor and Secretary of State were particular ...

Grab life by the boo boo man. I will miss your missives. I even stole Dusty Balzac for a character name in our D&D campaign (we can discuss royalties later). When the other gnome names himself Noam Chomsky, it was really the only reasonable choice on my part. Seriously best of luck, seems lots of us...

Have to say, I've done more damage to my arteries at Wendy's than McDonald's in the past decade or so. Still go for a Sausage McGriddle about thrice a month when I'm running late, but not too late.

Re: Why do Christians like the antichrist so much?
Ah, I see it does say "why do so many Christians like" him further down. To that I'd say, entrenched thinking. Seems like a lot of the conservative Evangelical set like him, but I'm not sure how closely they tie that to religion. Most people I talk to that like him, cited economic reasons.

Re: Why do Christians like the antichrist so much?
argue that Christians don't like him. I'm a Christian; and I don't like him. So maybe a better title would be "Why do so many Christians..." I don't think he fits the bill of anti-christ any more than your typical rich sociopath. 3rd world dictator wanabee? Sure. Antichrist? Hmm. He doesn't seem to...

Aaaannnnndddd.... That wasn't your argument at all was it. I have gone back and read the entire thread to find that one post in which you said something quite similar to what I alluded, and it's not there. So, I am guilty of creating a strawman that you are in no way obligated to respond to it. That...

Re: What makes your life worth living?
So it's ok that thousands of infants die of preventable diseases every day, because they can receive Christ after they die, and go to heaven. If that's the case, what is the point of them, or anyone, being born into the physical world, if their lives will be short and painful and that part doesn't ...

Re: What makes your life worth living?
Both A1 and B1 boil down to " God has some masterful plan we don't understand, stop questioning him, mortal ". Excuse me if I don't find that at all satisfactory. I would agree with you if that was remotely close to what I said. I merely gave two possible scenarios that would render the first argum...

I'd like to reconcile suffering out of existence. I think that's the whole point of trying to get to Heaven and bring as many along as I can.Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Mon Oct 24, 2022 5:26 pmI didn't say I wanted to "reconcile suffering out of existence".
