Re: Should I boycott Wizards of the Coast product line
If you have followed the current internet battle between tabletop gamers vs wizards of the coast the action is heating up over the OGL (Online Gaming Liscense). I have chosen the worst time imaginable to transition from playing 2nd edition for 20 years to finally buying 5th edition books. Now im he...

Re: Should I boycott Wizards of the Coast product line
I greatly enjoy D&D, but one of the campaigns I'm in transitioned to Pathfinder after all the drama.
I honestly don't care that much about the drama, I don't give them much money anyway.
I'd be interested to hear if there are any other setups that are fun.

Re: Video Games
Witcher 3 is up there with FFVII on the all time greats list. Recently I've been mostly playing Stellaris... which is one of those games that just falls short of being a classic I've been playing through that one recently to replace my obsession with Crusader Kings 2. My latest playthrough I got an...

Re: Proof Leprechauns are Real
Evolution on this planet produced humans. I could definitely see it producing a race similar to us but shorter (and still obsessed with gold) on another lol.

Re: Why does god always whisper?
Clever diversionary one-liner. But - with the partial exception of Mormonism - EVERY religion being discussed in this thread (and pretty much all the other religion-topic threads) are derived from holy books and traditions that range from 1300 to 2000 to 3400 years ago. Bronze age and Iron age stuf...

Re: Why does god always whisper?
Most religions (at least Jews/Christians/Muslims/Mormons) believe in a holy book where people can get their communications from God. No priestly class needed to read those books. Somebody doesn't know their history. For most of history, the Christian priestly class absolutey did hide the bible from...

Re: What makes your life worth living?
For the record I know it's a bad argument to appeal to majority. The point of it was to show how it's not weird to have an opinion that differs from a majority view.

I used Wikipedia. I admit it's not the most accurate source but it didn't change the point that much.

Re: What makes your life worth living?
Why do so many Christians get it wrong in my opinion? I'm assuming you're asking about hell specifically? I personally think a lot of it is vestigial theological baggage from the middle ages when hell propaganda was spread by the Catholic Church to encourage more subservience. I've never been to the...

Re: What makes your life worth living?
For the record, if there was an everlasting hellfire torture chamber waiting for us in the afterlife, I actually do agree there is no way to justify the suffering of this world with an all-loving God. So you agree that Christianity is either a meaningless religion or a fathomless cult? Cool, we're ...

It got the ball rolling so it works :P I guess I just expected more from you after reading your input in that other thread about Disney. Literally all you've done is proclaim God is impossible and meaningless and refuse to expand on anything beyond that or even back up those claims a sliver. You've ...
