Re: webDiplomacy.net new server

I hesitate to report this as I wonder why no one else has reported it? Whenever I ready my orders in a bot game I have to refresh the page multiple times before reaching the next phase. Sometimes many, many times which is a bit tedious. I never get to see the button I used to see for moving to next...

Re: Screwed up orders

It's an interesting subject. In Face to Face it's common to have intentional misorders, but the web interface makes it more prone to incidental misorders. webDip has decided to lower the chance of unintentional errors at the expense of many intentional ones. It also works a lot better with the drop-...

Re: Bot openings

We always consider Turkey the least flexible nation in terms of opening moves (and it's true). However, from this data you could also argue it's Russia due to having the highest percentage for a single moveset. You seem to be using an unusual definition of flexibility . Perhaps you meant predictabi...

Re: What is the best country in bot games?

The bots are programmed to recognize human player and will concentrate moves on the human player. Ex i played england 12 games in a row where all 3 of F/G/R target england. I played next few games as F/G/R and england left alone in each game and did well. Thats not random ... The bots really cannot...

Re: Server not processing games?

The last process time was over 12 minutes ago (at Wednesday, 09-Jun-21 15:25:02 CEST UTC+0); the server is not processing games until the cause is found and games are given extra time. Basically my question, is there something I can do about this? Is this all games? It was all games and there was n...

Re: why only two 1:1 bot options?

Can't seem to register due to the silly anti=script code, but good to know a place for variants exists If you email the mods of vDip, I'm pretty sure they can provide you with th...

Re: Bot games don't draw

... What is rather annoying is that bots immediately draw once the human player is destroyed. It would be quite interesting to see how they would continue and play out against each other. We've found out this causes severe server stress because they go through the turns so quickly. We had to change...
