Re: Renaming the draw

After a power conquers absolut majority, it naturally ends up conquering the board. If there are no mini stalemate lines, then this is true, so it makes no sense continuing, and this is why a solo is "winner takes all". This is Alan Calhamer's spirit of the rules! Of course, there ARE some mini sta...

Re: Announcing the 2018 GvI and FvA Showdowns

(meanwhile it looks like >50% of the games started are still in 1901, and a big stack still in spring 1901 lol ) How does one look easily to all the games in this tournament? Is just looked for ongoing or finished a/f games sorted by newest start date. There’s a decent stack of tourney games more o...

Re: Announcing the 2018 GvI and FvA Showdowns

At what point should bracket predictions stop? I'd just edited F/A and G/I just to remove my "picked the dropped slot to win" ones, but since F/A at least has started I was thinking that should probably lock soonish?

Re: Announcing the 2018 GvI and FvA Showdowns

Re: Announcing the 2018 GvI and FvA Showdowns

Is there a partuclar manner in which we should be setting up matchups, to make sure we get one of each power and the time settings are correct, etc.?

Re: Move/Results Database?

I actually suspect there would be substantial differences, particularly in gunboat. Austria becomes viable instead of toast, Turkey becomes harder to succeed at, etc.

Points from Resigned Games

I've had two games http://webdiplomacy.net/board.php?gameID=213832#gamePanel http://webdiplomacy.net/board.php?gameID=213785#gamePanel where the opponent resigned, and it looks like I only got my bid back and didn't actually win points. Is that because the opponent surrendered, or was something else...

Move/Results Database?

Is there a database somewhere of individual games and the detailed data from the games (moves, results, etc). that is available publicly for analysis and the like?

Re: Gunboat Strategies

How to play Gunboat

See if you randed Turkey

1) If you did, solo

2) If you didn't, join another game and try to rand Turkey
