We already have that he first appeared in a novel from 1980-1989. Maybe we should try and figure out more about his prior non-novel appearances that Chaqa has implied do exist.

I kind of feel like narrowing the publication date of the first novel in which he appeared. Seems like the most efficient way to get there. What do y'all think about that?

I will say I interpret primarily as "most known for"

So that means characters with movie adaptations are still on the table as long as the movie is not more well-known than the novel, got it.
