Gerald Ford? (connected to Watergate via his pardon of Nixon)
Gerald Ford held more than one political office so it couldn't be him anyway.
That's a requirement not a disqualifier.

I haven't heard of him either, and it was kind of sneaky damo how you quietly changed the "dart" rule ;-)
Jamie previously changed it to brick. That method is very dependent on where you are. And 50% way too high anyway (for 20 questions anyway).

Yep.

As I said most will have heard him - as Shere Khan in Jungle Book.

Re: 20 Qs - Game FORTY THREE

I've had my free guess but someone else might like to have a go at Sir John Anthony Quayle. He meets all the criteria but I don't think he'd pass the 50% dart test tbh. I don't recall seeing a reference to darts in the latest interpretation of the rules. A Wikipedia article is now the suggested ben...

Re: 20 Qs - Game FORTY THREE

Regarding the "well known" ness I doubt there are many on here who have not heard him.

With the info to hand it is easy to come up with a finite list (about half an hour's work at a guess).

I believe there is still one question remaining.

I didn't say I checked them all, I checked all that looked familiar. So my conclusion is I don't know the guy.
Fair enough. When I looked it up the first year for supporting actor is 1936. The first one I looked at was Basil Rathbone. Fits the bill.

I just went through the entire list of nominees for best supporting actor and clicked every name that looked familiar. No Brits that died between 1950 and 2000, so I guess I am out.
Didn't do a good job then.
I found one in less than a minute.
