That last post was made by someone (or something) whose account was created specifically to write this post. The bots are crazy.
It would have been much more fun if the bots had started arguing with each other.

Re: LB Kruijswijk test cases and new Diplomacy judge

Note that the DATC does not take into account the changes in the latest rulebook. I have spoken to Lucas about this, and he does plan to revise the test cases to deal with the changes.

Re: New variant thoughts

Since you guys are not commercial, unlike a certain other site which shall remain nameless, LOL, I have no problem with you implementing any of my variants. I beleive most of them, with a couple of exception, do not have problematic rule changes. I would be glad to discuss privately and in depth, as...

Re: the ultimate solo

I had a lot of help by a lot of people, mostly inadvertently, but that's the way it always is with any solo, with correct play, no one would ever solo. I disagree with that. Well, no, surely he's technically correct? If everyone always made perfect moves, the game would tend towards a stalemate. Pe...

Indeed. Those were the days. And it is a very good thing those are no longer the days. Now people can play everything remotely from 5 minute blitz vFTF to one month deadlines. Three cheers for progress!

Re: World 901

Since the transform rule is NOT usual to the variant (it was implemented with this additional rule by Kaner in his vDip port, for reasons I am still unsure about), JUNK IT!!!

I would love to see KW901 back here.

Re: New Rulebook Edition

Is there any reason why sites should be compliant with the latest publications from Hasbro, Incorporated? I'd be keen on knowing how they determine their rule changes before seeing them as anything other than suggestions Other than that these are the rules of the game? LOL They are one of many sets...

Re: New Rulebook Edition

I have performed a comparative analysis of the Renegade's 6th Edition (2023) rule book and the previous 5th edition (2008) rule book. Disregarding cosmetic and non-substantive changes (such as changing the colors of the example maps or dropping a reference the CD-Rom version of the game), there are ...

Re: New Rulebook Edition

I have not yet performed a line by line comparison, but a quick look revealed:

1. A further clarification that impossible order=hold order; and

2. A new, clear procedure for civil disorder removals.

Flowery War: New Variant, Comments Wanted

This is a 5 player variant set in pre-Aztec Mesoamerica. I do not believe any previous variant has tackled this subject matter. Rules and abbreviations are on the map. One notable rule is a unit conversion/transformation option. The variant can be found at https://davidecohen.wixsite.com/diplomiscel...

Re: Twilight of the Classical World: New Variant, Comments Wanted

Some changes. Other than cosmetic stuff and a few name changes, I moved the dot to in Barcino south to the newly created Valentia, and changed the unit to a fleet with options to move to Ligurian Sea or Tyrhennian Sea. I combined Barcino and Tarraconensis, and combined Tolosa and Aquitaine. I think ...
