My Adorable Field Marshall~Mem Sahib has had the gardener prepare a new fortified position between the Agapanthus and Hydrangeas to improve her enfilade fire plan for the approaches to the Chook Sheds & vegetable garden and the disenchanted gardening staff performed poorly at the range. Cook's Scullery maid managed to score highest with a Lee Enfield .303 of the domestic staff. Her Serene Imperiousness Indoors managed to bag a rabbit that foolishly appeared during proceedings.

I'm wondering if anyone has any advice on preparations to receive envoys from our new alien Masters or other extra dimensional visitors. Catering tips.et al.
For example, if our new alien Masters are Thetan types with LRonH in some command or consultancy role then my Lovely Fire Breathing MemSahib Her Serene Imperiousness Indoors lounging on a sofa eating cakes could organise.a simple buffet luncheon as a reception.
If our visitors are more Hip Dr Who type of gang then a different menu with more avocado dishes is probably required.
I imagine the cuisine for a twelve year old kiddy's birthday party would suit a Harry Potter/magical manifestion of guests. Tea or Coffee & cucumber sandwiches, cheese platter for adults
I need a diversion on the domestic front, & catering for aliens might be worth a try.. my feminine Overlord has had me moving tea chests of memorabilia and unused furniture out of the Cuban missile Crisis bunker and preparing for Armageddon.
Her Serene Imperiousness Indoors hasn't been lounging on a sofa eating cakes as much as I would like, instead it's hours of disassembling, cleaning and reassembling of weapons, sharpening bayonets, checking ammunition etc in her formidable armoury & playin' records of the 1812 or bloomin' Wagner's Vulturine Valkyries & other martial music.

Some 5 million persons went out in all directions from the Wuhan medicine/food market before a Chinese government acknowledged the viral outbreak. Batshits were MERs or SARS viruses.
Reportedly this coronavirus is from some other feral beast, maybe an endangered species.
In pictures from Japan sika deer in numbers are invading the deserted city streets.

China's obvious enough. It looks advanced and has the largest population. To an alien observer it may well appear to be the chief global power. So you send the virus and tell them to surrender or die. That this is merely a taste of the things to come, and that they have plenty of faster spreading and more lethal plagues in their arsenal if we fight back. The Chinese do fight for a while and are quickly overwhelmed, before utterly surrendering in exchange for the cure.

The rest are just natural spread of the virus. Nations that follow China's example and surrender will be spared. Nations that resist will be wiped from the map. In a couple of years the entire world will be another compliant member of the galactic empire.

China says that Covid-19 was brought to wuhan by US soldiers who became mysteriously ill while visiting.

Trump says its a China virus.

Russia gains a lot seeing china and US struggle and blame one another.


You mentioned Italy but, Iran is very high in infected also.

While people in the US claimed they were buying guns and ammo to protect themselves from looting, I expect plenty to be used by looters out to get suspected hoards. Most will be disappointed but keep looting.

I fully expect looting to begin soon.

Executing people is a terrible strategy, then you get ppl hiding it rather than coming forward, and it becomes essentially impossible to find it.

Ordering them to stay home is much safer, and the 'freedom' to knowingly spread a disease is not protected in any country.

As for gun sales, it is an indication that people are worried and trying to find something to do which will make themselves feel better.

Others are panic buying and stocking up on food/toilet paper, even when neither the experience of China nor Italy has indicated that this kind of stockpiling will be helpful.

I don't think they're planning to use their weapons to start a mad max like scenario, they are just preparing in case it happens despite the govt's best efforts.

given the surge in Gun sales this past week I think a showdown is looming between martial law, and freedom lovers. Which implies to me that people are prepared to just do whatever they think is right.

No. I was talking about the situation when European/USA leadership was quick to criticize China for slow and inefficient way to handle the crisis while doing little or nothing to prepare ourselves for it. Now that crissis came to us it shows that we are less efficient and capable to make proper action than China was. Instead of pointing a finger to others we should do some real work for a change.
