I would like to think that an objective viewpoint is an implicit factor in why the moderators are actually useful. Plus, it has been made fairly clear that "harmless innuendo" is not really what we are worried about when applying this rule. All that said, I see your point, particularly where you added "explicit" to the rule.
Yes, that was why I proposed adding it. To make the written policy clearer and more consistent with your likely intent. Thank you for considering my suggestion.

Yes, I am incapable of subjective viewpoints. I can't remember whether I was always like that (and invited to become a mod due to this trait) or it started when I became a mod. In fact, I don't remember much of my life before this.

I would amend it to read something like as follows:

"Messages of a sexually explicit nature from an objective viewpoint."

That will keep people from subjectively reacting from harmless innuendo, potentially using it to gain advantages in a game. Such behavior, while almost as reprehensible as actual explicit sexual harassment, is not illegal in a game where pretty much anything goes per the rules.

Anyway, it is just my opinion. If you want to try and handle "sexual messages" case by case, with no standard of what messages are ok and what are not, that's totally up to you guys.

That is something we can best determine on a case-by-case basis. If you feel that something inappropriate in violation of this rule happened in one of your games, just email us and we'll discuss it internally and sort it out.

"Messages of sexual nature"

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

That needs to be tightened up and you need an objective standard.

as i have yet to ever hear about doxxing, and never run across it before, maybe i dont know what it is
but yes, this place is a PC shithole
I apologise for restricting your freedoms to sexually and racially harass others.
The policy as drafted is a too vague about what objective conduct is disallowed.

still have no idea what doxxing is, but im going to do it to GHUG for sure
Doxxing comes from various horrible parts of the Internet (let's say place like 4chan), where they start out with a campaign against a particular actor, because the blame said individual for ruining their favourite film franchise.

So instead of going out and doing something positive in the world, they arrange to have many people from the website to harass the individual on twitter (or whatever public forum they can find, but twitter does little to stop harassment) with death threats and the like, until it becomes so negative the person simply withdraws from that public spaces (likely for their own mental health).

Now Doxxing is where someone in this hate group discovers (perhaps by illegal means) and publishes private information about their target. Like their home address, with the explicit intention of continuing the harassment - death threats can be sent through the mail, maybe some dangerous chemicals, or bombs, whatever... The intention is to harm. And thus it is illegal in most jurisdictions.

People have been forced to leave their homes for their own safety.

This is, the origin, at least, of Doxxing.

so can they reach thru the phone?

can they reach thru a computer?

irrelevant to the law.

As a recent victim of death threats via telephone, and the person brandished a knife and showed up at my job. hes in jail for 3 counts of felony terroristic threats and 3 counts of felony use of a weapon.

it all started with a phone call.

and yes he showed up to act on it.

and hes gonna go to prison for it.

Why nothing about threats of physical violence?
Is there a way to crawl through the keyboard that I’m unaware of?
well the law defines terroristic threats as a felony that doesnt even have to be actionable. its about the act of threatening violence on another person via any platform to be a crime

Honestly, everyone I've interacted with from playdip has been really lovely. I'm sorry you had a bad experience Ogion, but the community over there is super friendly for the most part

Uh huh.

I'm just curious what it is that they said that offended you.
Oh, just the use of the usual homophobic slurs. You know the one, and I won't repeat it. There wer some sexist ones as well. I reported them. The moderator shrugged. I surrendered my games and left their damn tournament.

I find that people who have been subject to a history like onself being murdered and oppressed for who they are have a little less tolerant attitude toward this kind of casual bigotry. And of course all decent people with a modest level of empathy. They also are sick and tired of the bullshit.
Ah, yes. I'm sure the poor, oppressed Ogion has a brutal and horrible history of being murdered.
Does having my dad enslaved by Nazis count? Let's not even get into how Americans treated the Mexicans they conquered, shall we?

But the reality is that some of us have basic human empathy, which means we don't appreciate other people being hurt. I understand that's a hard thing for you sociopaths to understand. You might try playdip. They seem more your kind of folks.

Glad to see everyone's still getting along.

In all seriousness, though, I trust the mods to do the best they can in managing this site on their own free time, and to effectively deal with players who harm the community (regardless of the exact wording of various rules).

Idk why I thought Leon1122 would be more of a grown up when he returned. Like a really big time skip with lots of character development
Give it a couple more centuries.

If you mean I don't respond to demeaning slurs and stereotypes with a wink and a gigle, no, I don't. And what most people call racism or sexism seems to depend on whether you're living in some backwater or in civilization I find.

If you're a French player trying to get England onside for a German invasion, could you say, for example:

"I'll make sure of Burgundy and try and get Italy onside. You do the same with Russia and get into position for the convoy. And then it's squareheads down for the big Bosch gangbang! Huzzah!"

Just to clarify a little more: I often make "remove kebab" jokes when I'm fighting against Turkey. Is this still kosher, or am I not allowed to say things like that anymore?
I'd hope it was allowed. Part of the fun of the game for many people is getting into character, and it'd be a damned shame if the rules meant you couldn't tell the Frogs you thought the Hun was a bit of a sour Kraut.
