The character is less well known in the UK but the first series was definitely shown on children's TV in the UK in the 1990s.

Voltron was a staple of my youth. My brother had all 5 of the bigger plastic versions of the lions, the castle, and some other things if I recall correctly (like the read-along storybook records). When you put the lions together it actually held up pretty well (unlike Transformers' G1 Devastator which fell apart in a stiff wind).

I would have also accepted "Beast King GoLion" which was the original Japanese cartoon. No one asked anything about the tv show other than date and both shows fell within the date range.

I thought it was an interesting pick because there have been 3 U.S. tv series featuring that character, the last on Netflix between 2016 and 2018.

I'll give a small (and your only) hint: my younger brother had at least two read-along storybook 45 RPM vinyl records featuring this character many years ago.

I guess I should set a time limit like JECE did recently? Maybe Friday 5 PM GMT -4?
