If I want to do tempest how should I proceed, is it a problem that I don’t have ftf experience
1) Google suggests checking out this site: http://www.ptks.org/tempest-2019/

2) No, that's no problem at all! Some preparation is advised if you want to do well, but if you keep your head together it should be fun regardless :-D

Games may run slower, that's possible, but the reason it's 4 days is that there's many other things to do in MT around Big Sky. The event is really more like Carnage in a sense: beautiful setting, more things to do than just the tourney, organized activities. It's much more than just a tournament, it's an experience.

Why is SkyCon longer that all the other tournaments (4 days where the max time for other tournaments is three)? Do the games run slower in Montana? :P

We are not listing house games in the OP but you are more than welcome to advertise them in this thread or throughout this forum. If you have a smaller event that may not qualify as a "tournament" per se but involves filling out multiple boards and advance planning, feel free to post it and I will add it to the OP if it has the potential to draw members from outside of your FTF community.
Thanks Bo, the event I have in mind does fit that description.

It's in Macclesfield, Cheshire, UK.
2/3 March 2019.
At least 2 or 3 boards and the venue has a private bar and buffet for players' exclusive use (if that's not an incentive, what is??) :smirk:

If it goes well I hope it can become an open tourney in future iterations.

I've also asked the Washington Athletic Club ("WAC" of "WACcon") to rename the athletic club CONQ to make it less confusing for the tournament participants, and I'm sure they will confirm shortly.

I'll ask Nathan how he feels about those new naming conventions. I'm sure he'll prefer BOcon. It's like bacon, only it's me, so it's better.

Hmmm, I think CONQON is slightly better. I'll alert the merchandising vendor.

1. I believe they renamed it CONQCON.

2. I'm not sure if there is a website up yet. I just asked the organizer, Nathan Barnes.

Balki, do you know of a website or info page for WACcon?

Is it only for tournaments, or can you list other F2F events?

Thanks,

The North American Championships will take place on September 6-8, in Seattle, Washington this year ("WACcon").

Perhaps the most exciting feature of WACcon is that it will be the second face-to-face tournament for webdiplomacy treasure, Balki Bartokomous. While Balki did not perform well enough at last year's WDC to earn a Webdiplomacy banner mention, he enjoyed tequila shots with several Webdip regulars and shared a vigorous hug with Webdip luminary Yoyo. Who knows? If you make the pilgrimage to Cascadia this September, that could be you.
