Also, I visited Fruitlands a year or two ago. Good museum if you're into that sort of thing.

Looked it up - it was a commune that was not only vegan but also avoided any root vegetables as they "showed a lower nature", or any stimulants like tea or coffee. They also avoided using animal labor for farming until they absolutely needed an ox for the winter. One person was kicked off the commune for eating fish. Good times.

I just realized there is a mismatch between game numbers and records sheet for the last 3 games? I'm fixing it.

"In 1843 Bronson (Alcott's father) and Lane established Fruitlands, a utopian community, in Harvard, Massachusetts, where the family were to live."

Is this it?
You got it. The town of Harvard is most likely named after the university, but not particularly close to it geographically.

Free guess: Louisa May Alcott?
You are correct!

There is a (tenuous) connection to the previous round which should be easy to find if anyone is interested.
Both died in Mass. Bit too tenuous though.
It's less tenuous than that.

Oh ok scratch
Duly scratched. Oddly enough Jane Austen was on my mind recently; maybe if I had thought of her as a 20Q target I would have chosen her for this round.
