Yay! He wasn't on my radar at all, but then I looked up famous people who go by their middle names, and I realized that he fit all the other clues.

I will answer this if you want me to, but it's already been stated that he was not born in the US so this would only knock off a few immigrants that Wikipedia has listed as American artists. Let me know if you want to get the yes/no for this or if you want to scratch it.

Also I realized my last summary was technically oversharing as I was asked "Born in Europe before 1907," not just "born before 1907," but with this question it is now correct as below:

1,2: Real human male
3, 7, 8, 9, 12, 15: Born after 1922 but before January 1, 1950 somewhere other than Asia or the US, north of the 40th parallel north
4: Not known for contributions to STEM

The answer here is probably "no," he is not famous "for" those three things, but it is well known that he participated in one or more of these three artistic pursuits (if that makes sense). His primary source of fame has not been asked yet.
